With just two weeks remaining in the regular season and teams jockeying for playoff position, this weekend's games (Mar. 8) are crucial for numerous teams.
The RoTex Ryders, who easily dispatched of Gonzales this past weekend 39-19, remain undefeated at 5-0 but have a tough game this week against an upstart Victoria Head Busters team at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The Head Busters claimed a big 32-14 victory over the Roughnecks this past weekend to improve to 3-2 on the season. The loss dropped the Roughnecks, who play winless Moulton DaBeers this Saturday at 1 p.m., to 2-3.
In a battle of 1-4 teams at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Team Texas takes on the Spartans.
The final game on Saturday should be a classic as the Hunjaks take on the Hallettsville Warriors at 4 p.m. Both teams sit at 4-1 on the season and this game will go a long way in determining seeding when the playoffs roll around on Mar. 22.
