The Yankees are proud members of the Westurban 10 year old league, located in Wichita, KS. With a 36-27 record this past season, 2008 should be an exciting year. The Yankees played in the upper division in league play last season and the team finished first in the USSSA Hardball Classic, first in the Super Series Mother's Day Classic and they finished second in the Kansas USSSA State Tournament. The Yankees ended the 2007 season on a positive note placing 13th out of 37 top nine year old teams in the country at the USSSA World Series.
The Yankees will be challenged with a very aggressive schedule in 2008. They will play in the upper division in league once again to better prepare them for the big tournaments. The team will play in some tournaments in Oklahoma, Kansas City, a few local tournaments and cap the season off with a Super Series National Championship Tournament. We hope you will join us in cheering on these young boys in the upcoming season.
