Action from Wednesday Night around the Madden League.....
3rd ranked Ceres holds off #1 ranked Elsinore 21-17

Like he did in their first meeting last season,Rico Williams and his 3rd ranked Ceres Cowboys (6-0) defeated the #1 ranked Elsinore Colts (6-1),this time 21-17 in a game filled with costly mistakes. The loss snapped Ryan Lyon's 20-game winning streak with the Colts that dated all the way back to last October.
Williams and his Cowboys jumped out first after connecting on a 19-yard touchdown pass just 2:53 into the first quarter. After an Elsinore punt,Ceres looked to add to that lead but ended out throwing an interception deep in the Elsinore territory. Like any good Madden player,Lyons would take advantage of the Ceres miscue en route to a 16-play 90-yard touchdown scoring drive to tie the game at seven. Ceres would counter the Elsinore score by taking the ball down and scoring a go ahead touchdown right before the half.
Lyons and his Colts would not go away easy after taking the ensuing kickoff after halftime all the way down to the Ceres 32-yard line. Three plays later Elsinore would score once again to tie the game at fourteen. After forcing a three and out,Elsinore got the ball back and once again drove down the Ceres 20-yard line. However a fumble and Ceres recovery ended the drive. From there Ceres would go down and nail a 43-yard field goal to take a three point lead heading into the games final quarter. After another Elsinore turnover followed by Ceres punt,Lyons and his Colts had one more chance to either tie the game or win in the final minutes. After completing a 45-yard pass down to the Ceres 23-yard line,Elsinore would throw what would be the game securing interception for Williams and his Cowboys on the next play.
"I think its safe to say he (Ceres) should be the new #1 this coming weekend",stated Lyons following the game.
Next week Ceres will take on the Memphis (TN)Panthers (4-2). Elsinore will look to bounce back against the 17th ranked Plano (TX)Broncos (6-1).
Eagles defense leads Brookline past Beacon 16-7
The defense of the Brookline Eagles was dominant on Wednesday night against the Beacon Bears, limiting the Bears to just 93 yards of total offense. In fact, 70 of Beacon's yards came on a fluke play, as the Bears threw a pass that should have been intercepted but instead ricocheted off the hands of a Brookline defender and right into the hands of a Bear receiver, who then ran in untouched for a long score. That play aside, the Eagles defense held the Bears to just 1.9 yards per play on the night. With their win, the Eagles (4-3) climbed above .500 for the second time this season. They will host the Middletown Ravens next week. Beacon (2-5) will take on the Ottawa Bucs.

Action from Tuesday Night around the Madden League.....
New Mexico ends two game losing streak;Rams take care of division rival Cache Valley 23-14

The New Mexico Rams (5-2) snapped a two game losing streak after defeating division rival Cache Valley Bears (4-3) 23-14 Tuesday night. The loss marked the Bears third in a row after starting the season 3-0.
The usually tough Cache Valley defense was unable to figure out Jim Sweetman's no huddle attack as the Rams marched up and down the field while netting just over 250 yards of total offense.
Next week the Rams will look to make it two in a row when they take on their bitter Northwest division rivals Mile High (CO)Panthers (3-4). Cache Valley will get a bye next week before preparing for the nationally ranked Ceres (CA)Cowboys.
5th ranked Florida rolls by Pooler 22-0

After taking a year off last season,Titus Jackson is back and his Florida Titans are off to their best start since the Fall of 2004 when he played under the Titans.
After defeating Crossroads division Rival Pooler Packers (1-5) last night 22-0 the Titans are now sitting at 6-0 for the season. The defense is allowing just over 4ppg,and has not giving up more then 10 points thus far.
Next week the Titans will look to make it seven in a row when they take on in state rival Jacksonville (FL)Raiders (4-2). Pooler will look to put an end to their 3-game slide when they take on the Michiana (MI)Saints (4-2).
Virginia Cowboys hand interstate rival Ravens 5th straight loss

There is no love lost in this state of Virginia battle when the Cowboys meet the Ravens.
During the off-season Trevon Jackson (Virginia Ravens) sent a complaint into the league regarding the Virginia Cowboys using the state name in front of his logo.
