A Salute From Victory USA
NYFD
Victory USA would like to acknowledge and thank the men and women of our fire and police departments as well as our military forces. The freedom to enjoy some of the things in this country, such as simply being able to play a game of softball, comes at the professional and personal sacrifice of these courageous men and women who ensure that our parks and communities are a safe place in which to play, and that our country is the greatest on the face of the earth.

Thanks from Victory USA!

The Best Team In Girls' Fastpitch Softball For Five Consecutive Years -

Farewell to a great team of champions that set the standard of play and level of excellence in this sport for over five years.  Every team sought to become them, and every team tried to beat them  ..  unsuccessfully, as these players were not to be copied or defeated.

Through all of those times of confrontation, these young ladies never accepted losing as being an option, and they met every major challenge and adversary head on with character and strength along the way to three National Championships, two State Championships and 460 wins.

They set the standard for all USA Athletics teams that will follow them.

In tribute to the 40 players that wore the USA Athletics' uniform from 2000 - 2005:

Semi Finals:  August 6, 2005
USA 7 - TNL 2 .. Katey Laban's dominating performance in the circle, throwing her second game of the day in 100+ degree heat, shows why she is a great pitcher and warrior.  The USA offense drives the ball hard and often, and shows its resolve to win another National Championship.   Christina Zambrana's two-RBI double off the center field fence in the 1st inning gave TEAM USA a 3-2 lead they would not relinquish.

Finals:  August 7, 2005
USA 6 - TNL 4  ..  Katey Laban gets the pitching start and goes the first two innings, Tory Ferreira provides outstanding long relief for 4 2/3 innings, and Katey closes the game at nearly 3:00 a.m..  The five-year team veteran, Monica Aguilar, makes the final putout on a two-bounce grounder to 3B to give USA its third National Championship after being on the field for nearly 18 consecutive hours.

TEAM USA jumped to an early 2-0 lead, and then to a commanding 6-0 lead, trading outs for runs in the 5th and 6th innings at nearly 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.  Kristen Arriloa and Cassandra Godoy make key defensive plays late in the game to stop any threats from the opponent.
