2009 LITTLE LEAGUE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Nominations and elections were held for the 2009 Little League Board of Directors, the following is the new board:

Congratulations to all those nominated and elected for the 2009 season, and welcome to our three newcomers: Kelly Leib, Candace Tokar, and Les Fisher.
The Board of Directors would also like to thank Kim Little and Laura Knott for their service to the Board and to Thurmont Little League over the past few years.
FALL BALL SEASON STARTS SATURDAY
The 2008 Fall Ball season kicks off Saturday for the Prep League and 15-16 year olds this weekend. The Prep League (13-14) begins a 12 game schedule with a doubleheader against Brunswick at 10 am and 1 pm at Jefferson. While the 15-16 year olds begin their 14 game schedule at home against Brunswick in a doubleheader with the first game at 10 am. The Minors Division (8-9) will open play here on Sunday at 3 pm, as the Thurmont Black Team hosts the Thurmont Dark Blue Team. The Majors Division (10-12) opens Saturday at 10 am with a game between the Thurmont Dark Blue and Thurmont Black teams, followed by Thurmont Red versus Thurmont Orange at 1230. All schedules are posted under the handouts section of the website (with the exception of the Majors and Minors as only this weekends games were released). Go to the Frederick County Babe Ruth website at www.eteamz.com/FBR under "locations" for directions to the fields. Good luck to all of Thurmonts teams this fall.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
The next meeting of the Board of Directors for Thurmont Little League is WEDNESDAY, October 1st, at 6:30 pm at the Little League Clubhouse. This meeting, as all Board meetings, is open to the public.
