MTHS Gridiron Club Auction and Dinner Dance
The Mountlake Terrace Gridiron club charity auction will be held Saturday September 6th at St Pius X church 22105 58th Ave W, Mountlake Terrace. We'll be serving a Lasagna dinner and will have music featuring "The Soul Proprieters". Doors open at 5:00 pm. Silent auction starts at 5, dinner at 6:00 pm. Live auction and music begin at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $25 at the door. Come on out and have some fun.

Washington Institute of Sports Medicine and Health offer for Terrace Football players
15% discount to all MTHS football players for the 20 session Acceleration Program. They can also offer complimentary speed clinics, where the athlete can come in, receive an assessment, see what their deficits are, and then be put through typical training protocols.
RetroFit Gym Membership offer for Terrace Football players
Located in the QFC center at the corner of 44th and 228th in MLT, RetroFit is willing to offer all MTHS football players a month to month membership for $20 a month, with a $35 membership fee and first and last months fees due up front (that's it, no family commitment, annual commitment, or any other fiscal obligation) . They do want the dues to be an EFT from either a bank or Visa/MC. Just identify yourself as a MLTHS football player when you sign up.
The coaches still want the players to participate in team workouts, but this might help for kids with tight schedules.
Gridiron Club
Come on out and join the gridiron club! We are looking for volunteers to help the gridiron club. It is a great way to be a part of the Terrace family and to help your son, as he grows on and off the field. The idea is to allow people to help out next year with something they are good at, without having to attend every gridiron club meeting. We don't want just a few active parents, we need all parents to help out in some way. To get started, please show up out our next boosters meeting, or contact Alan at alan.lechtenberg@excite.com .
Committees you can help out on:
Off Season Conditioning. Work with the coaches to evaulate programs other schools are using to be successful. We've all heard the rumors, over at school X they do this, why don't we do that. Lets find out what "that" is and do the best to make our program successful.
Homecoming and Red/White BBQ. Coordinate everything necessary for these events.
Fund raising. Coordinate fund raising efforts, do we want to have an Auction again next year? Participation in grocery frequent shoppers programs such as Community Partners with Albertsons?
Game night programs. Coordinate the publishing and sale of game night programs.
Merchandise table. Coordinate the sale of our Hawks merchandise at all football events.
Game meals and snacks. Coordinate game meals and snacks for the team. Do we want to resume the Saturday morning breakfasts? You decide.
Game Recorder. Arrange for a videographer for varsity games. Statistics need to be taken and compiled for the varsity games. The math department has indicated they would be willing to work with us to find seniors that might do this as their senior project. Or perhaps you have these skills and want to do it? We also need to get someone that goes to the Freshman and/or JV games to provide write ups of those games. This could be a parent, or maybe we could work with the English department at MTHS to get a student(s) to do it?
Seniors Coordination. Work with the senior class for their pre-season photo and bio's for program. Coordinate with Cheerleaders for senior gifts prior to games and senior night. Coordinate senior night. Coordinate senior plaques and blankets.
Band and Cheer liasons. Work with Band and Cheerleaders to be sure they know when the games are and have anything they need from us.
Youth Programs liasons. Work with the local youth junior football programs. Successful programs have strong ties with the youth programs in the area. Coordinate these ties, arrange for the junior coaches and the high school coaches to get together and plan player development. Coordinate Junior player night. If you've got younger children in the youth programs, this could be a great group for you to join.
Everyone has something they are good at, and together we should be able to help these kids be successful.

Class of 2006
There are 4 players on Ventura College's roster. Carroll Powell was their leading rusher last year. The other 3 redshirted in 2006 and were freshman this year Travis Parvin, Thomas Welch, and Dan Miyasato. That was a nice class of players.
