Tampa Bay Sentinels

The Tampa Bay Sentinels football team operates under the direction of the Tampa Bay Public Safety Charity, Inc. (TBPSC) as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
The Sentinels competes in the National Public Safety Football League (www.NPSFL.com), along with approximately 20 teams from across the nation, for the annual NPSFL National Championship. All teams raise money during the course of the season for their local charities. The Sentinels raises money to support the Tampa Bay Public Safety Charity which donates all money raised to the Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast.

To be eligible to participate as a player, one must be a:

- Law Enforcement Officer

- Firefighter

- Corrections Officer

- Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic

- Probation/Parole Officer

- or, active-duty military in a related public safety career field.
The Sentinels football team is represented by approximately 19 different Tampa Bay area public safety agencies. Anyone interested in playing football with the Sentinels, please email the team at tampabaysentinels@verizon.net.

In January 2009, the Sentinels will be joining the Southern States Football League in addition to playing in the National Public Safety Football League.

The SSFL Sentinels team will be comprised of both sworn/certified and non-sworn/certified players.

Tryouts are opened to all sworn/certified and non-sworn/certified players and will be held in October on the following Saturdays: 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th. Time and place TBA. $25 tryout donation to benefit the Tampa Bay Public Safety Charity.
