Game 2 Avalanche vs. Renegade
The girls welcomed Willi back but unfortunately the Renegades were determined to crash the party. Under heavy pressure in the first half Carolyn proved up to the task only allowing 1 tough goal to keep the girls in the game but, the second half brought only more disappointment for the girls as Katie Bryan's hard shot from the 18 banged off the top bar and out of play. Although the play was more balanced in the second half the goal remained closed for our girls until after the Renegade had put the game out of reach with 2 late goals. But we did see our girls spark up after Meg ripped a hard shot passed the Renegade keeper beautifully assisted by Katie Bryan. This gives the girls something to build on for next weeks game. Believe

Finalist Dulles National Soccer Tournament
The girls got the Fall `06 Soccer Season off to a pretty good start with a Finalist Finish in the Dulles National Soccer Tournament . After a heartbreaking loss to their old rival the ODFC Thunder in the first game of the tournament, the girls rebounded to go undefeated in the remaining three games. They held on for a 2-1 victory over Sterling Excel on Saturday afternoon then followed up on Sunday with a tight 1-0 victory over ODFC Dragons and a nailbiting 2-1 win over McLean Mavericks. Great work girls let's have a great fall season. BELIEVE!
