Mount Sylvania and Southwest League Merger

The votes are counted and the merging of Mount Sylvania and Southwest Portland Little Leagues has been unanimously approved. This was accomplished at a special league meeting held October 1, 2007 at Alpenrose in the Opera House.

It is now time for the real work to begin. The new league will operate under the Southwest Portland Little League charter because it pre-dates Mount Sylvania's charter by one year (1955 vs. 1956).

A new web site at www.swpll.org has been created to report on all future activity. Please visit our new home to stay up-to-date with all your local Little League news.
