Tuesday, September 2 2008-2009 Board of Directors Elections Please be advised that Sussex-Wantage Little League will conduct it's annual membership meeting on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, 7:30 p.m. at the Sussex Firehouse located on Loomis Avenue in Sussex, NJ. All current members in good standing are urged to attend. The election of the 2008-2009 Board of Directors will take place at this meeting. Fall Ball is a Little League International program that allows players ages 8 through 16 a chance to play baseball during the months of August, September and October. Since registration of the fall ball program is typically much smaller than spring registration, participants will be required to travel to other towns for away games. Given the fewer number of players and volunteers for fall ball, SWLL will handle registration for this program on a first-come-first-serve basis. Depending on the number of managers and coaches that volunteer, we will only accept 13 players per team for which we have a manager/coach. All other registrations will be put on a waiting list. Players who participated in the 2008 spring season do not need to submit their birth certificate. Managers and coaches who participated in the 2008 spring season do not need to submit a volunteer application. There WILL NOT be any in-person registration dates for fall ball. All registrations will be handled through the mail. 2008 Registration Fee:
* Registration forms must be received by July 20th to avoid late fee * For Players: 1. Go to Forms page 2. Download, print and completely fill out 2008 Fall Player Registration Form (be sure to indicate shirt size and division) 3. Attach a copy of player's birth certificate 4. For Managers/Coaches/Umpires/Volunteers: 1. Go to Forms page 2. Download, print and completely fill out 2008 Little League Volunteer Application (be sure to sign form and include your SSN) 3. Attach a copy of your valid driver's license (picture required) 4. If applicable, attach a copy of your coaching certification card 5. Mail volunteer application, copy of driver's license and coaching card to: Sussex-Wantage Little League P.O. Box 475 Sussex, NJ 07461 Attn: 2008 Fall RegistrationThursday, June 5 Grand Slam Picnic Date: Saturday, June 21, 2008 Time: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Location: Wantage Recreation Fields, Lott Road Players should wear their uniforms and bring their baseball glove/bat/equipment as there will be contests and games with prizes awarded. Food will not be provided by the league. Each team should arrange to bring their own food and beverages for the picnic. Tuesday, April 8 Opening Day Parade Saturday, April 19th, 11:00 a.m., Sussex Middle School All players should wear their complete baseball uniform. Each team should make a banner and bring it on the day of the parade. Prizes will be awarded at each level for the best banner. Hot dogs, chips and soda will be served to all players. Thursday, February 7 Friendly's Fun-Raising Nights Sussex-Wantage Little League will be conducting two fundraisers at the Friendly's Restaurant in Hampton/Newton. The dates and times are as follows: Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please come out and support your league. Friday, December 14 2008 Mountain Creek Fundraiser Looking for a great gift for those HOT SUMMER days? Sussex-Wantage Little League will be selling Mountain Creek Waterpark vouchers for the 2008 summer season for $50 per person from January 5th - May 2nd, 2008.
