How and where do I upload video
to my site?
You can upload video to your site wherever you see an edit form that includes
a button to "Add Video". The Welcome, News and Album sections
accept video. Video files must be in .avi, .mov, .mpg, .mpg2, .qt, .rm or .wmv file format.
Click the "Add Video" button on the form. A new form will load which will have
a "Browse" button on it. Click this button and your computer will open up a screen
that will allow you to access the files on your hard drive. Select a video file
double-click the file name. The name of the file should appear on the form.
Click the "Upload Video" button and your browser will freeze while the file is
uploading to your site. When it is finished, the main form should return. You
can now continue adding or updating the information on the rest of the form.
Tip: You may find it useful to add all your video files to the Videos section of the Admin Upload folder. Therefore, you will be able
to use the Select Existing Video option within the "Add Video" forms.
Note: If you don't see a "Browse" button on the Upload form, this means
that your browser is not compatible. Try updating to the latest version. Choose from
the options below.
AOL
Internet Explorer
Netscape
Safari (for Macintosh OS X and higher)
Note: If you can't find your files when searching on your hard
drive, try choosing "All Files" from the drop down next to Files of type: in your file window.

Why does my browser freeze when I try to upload a video?
Check the size of the video file that you are uploading. You will need to keep
the size of your video file 1MB or smaller (except on PLUS sites). Otherwise, you may experience errors
when uploading. Your browser will freeze while the video is uploading and if the
video is very large, it could take a very long time to upload. The admin screen
will automatically time out after 20 minutes so uploads that take longer than
this will not be possible. We will be removing this limitation in our next major
upgrade.
