This will be the site dedicated to a new Tulsa area, high school 14/15yr. old 60'/90' "spring" and summer league, which is now forming. The new 14/15yr. old league will kick off in the spring of 2008 mid-March. The league will play just like the freshman, junior varsity and varsity high school programs. Kids will represent their prospective high school and play a 15 game spring leauge season plus any tournaments, and an 18 game summer season against other participating high school 14/15yr. old teams. Each high school coaching staff will handle the process of putting one or more their teams together as well as help guide the overall direction of the league. IDEPENDENT TEAMS may also play.
This will be basically a high school prep league which will give both the kids and the coaching staffs approximately 40 games to develope and learn within the high school dimensions and for the high school staff to see developement and know some of the kids before they even have the usual 1-2 day high school tryout in the fall. This new set up should be very benificial to all who participate and when all the dust clears from tryouts, no one should be able to say they never got a look and the high school programs should get a more experienced player.
Diamond League 14/15's is not a part of the current "jr. high" program that some smaller area schools are doing. Diamond League 14's will play week games at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. so kids will not miss any school and parents can attend. They also will play 7 ining games not 5 ining like the jr. high program.

This is THE 14yr. state tournament to challenge your pre-high school athletes. Some teams talk the talk – others play 60’/90’. All teams entered will go into a hat and be drawn out for pool play assignment at the coaches meeting. Schools with 2 teams will not be in the same pool. No silly points, double green stamps, grandmas’ favorite – just line ‘em up and play. Out of state teams welcome.

Game length: 7 innings / 1:45hr time limit – NO time limit in Championship game.

15yr. restrictions: 15’s eligible “IF” 1.) is a current 8th grader (2). In 9th grade but not on or has been on a 2008 high school team (3). Doesn’t turn 16 before May 1st, 2008. (4) a teams total roster cannot exceed a 60/40 ratio of 14/15 age group.
Teams must have proof of current insurance on hand.

Below are some proposed rules and guidlines. As yet nothing is in concrete. Each participating high school coaching staff will ultimitly have a major say in how their 14yr. program is ran from within and in setting league policy.
* 14yr. season to begin in March of 2008.
* 15 game spring season plus any tournaments a team chooses to play.
* Suggested roster limit of 12-15 players.
* 7 ining games / 1:45 time limit / 6:00 & 8:00 p.m week game times.
* Regular minus 3 (-3) aluminum high school bat to be used.
* A participating high school staff may field more than one team. Schools who's enrollement hinders fielding even one team may partner with another high school to field a team.
* 14yr. teams must be made up of athletes only from the feeder school(s) to the participating high school. Schools who population or interest will not support a team may combine with another similar program to field a team(s) with prior approval of league officials.
* Each participating high school coaching staff will be required to participate in the forming of their 14yr. program as well as monitoring it during the season.
* The actual "forming" of 14yr. old teams will be left up to each high school staff.
* 15yr. old 8th graders are legal for league play. Other 15yr. olds (9th grade) can become legal for league play with prior approval of league officials.
* Most spring games will be played at Obrien Park. Participating high schools will have a couple of "home" games at their representive high school field.
* Parents and fans of 14yr. old team(s) may be considered for membership into the current high school booster club.
* Entry fee, based on a 15 game schedule would be $1,400.00. This includes team insurance, game announcers, and umpires. Baseball, tournaments, uniforms, etc. not included.
* Gate fee will be charged at all games. All parks are to charge $3.00 adults and $2.00 for students and seniors. Non-school age children free.
* On field box coaches must wear full matching uniform.
