Summerville Little Leagues: My Site News
Summerville Little League will be maintaining its Coach Pitch/Machine Pitch, Minor Baseball Division and Major Baseball Division for Spring 2008. The format is designed to make each baseball division more competetively appropriate based on skill as well as age. These changes do not affect the softball program.The 2008 brackets for the Summerville Little League are:
Angel Ball 4 year olds
Tee Ball 5-6 year olds
A League (Machine Pitch) 6-7 year olds
AA League (Machine Pitch 7-9 year olds
AAA League (Minors) 8-11 year olds
Major League 10-12 year olds
This format will require more players try out in order to eligible for the higher bracket if their age qualifies them. In general, players age 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 will be required to try out. The primary exception is that any player that has played Spring Ball in the Major bracket, will normally stay in the major bracket.
