Tournament Procedure
Format of Tournament Play
The tournament begins with three (3) pool games that will seed teams into a single elimination bracket.
Pools consist of four (4) teams .. done by a blind draw .. no teams from the same organization will play each other in pool play.
Your team will be guaranteed at least four (4) games.
Each team will play the teams listed in their pool .. your pool play finish will seed you into a single elimination tournament .
There is no consolation bracket.
Double check times and sites for all your games .. game time is forfiet time.
First letter represents your Pool and the second number represents your Pool Play
finish.
Game Rules
Game time is forfiet time. Be sure to double check your next game time and site.
Turn in properly filled out lineup form to scorekeeper table at least five minutes prior to start of game.
Prior to jump ball each team is required to pay a referee $25. There are two referees per game and each team is responsible to pay one or the other.
Conduct of players, coaches & fans ... good sportsmanship must be encouraged. All remarks will be directed toward your own team. Remarks directed otherwise will be considered poor conduct and will be treated as such by the referees. The referee may eject players, coaches & fans for flagrant offenses. Coaches are responsible for the behavior of their fans.
Home team will be determined by the team at the top of bracket. If conflict of uniform color arises ... home team has the preference.
Tournament Director will have final decision on all matters.
Remember most games are won or lost by team execution, player performance or coaching decisions ... not necessarily the calls of the referees.

Gym Site Team Registration
Coaches are to report to the site supervisor at the gym location of their first game. At this time you will pick up your team package with t'shirts, lineup forms, and three coaches passes. We will have all your items at your first game.
There are no entry fees for either Friday evening or all day Sunday. We do collect a fee from the spectators on Saturday only.
Adults will be $5.00
Students will be $1.00
Under 12 - Free
Over 65 - $2.00
Tournament Book - $1.00
We will sell a tournament book with rosters, pool play, brackets, maps to sites, and additional tournament re free. Once you purchase a ticket for Saturday .. that will get you in all the gym sites for that day.
Players are free. Coaches are to show their pass .. three per team.
There will be fresh orange slices available at the team benches for your players during the game. If more are needed .. just let us know.
Please keep your bench area clean after game .. pick up water bottles and other items so area is clean for next game. Our little leprechauns come out in full force to clean after each game .. but players can be aware that their assistance is greatly appreciated.
We will have large updated bracket boards at Waterford Ketering High School .. the tournament headquarters.
All scores are called into that site and from there transfered to the large boards. The other gym sites will also have the scores and brackets posted on a smaller scale bracket board. Double check your times and sites prior to your next game.
Game time is forfeit time.
Remember ... report and sign in upon arrival for your first game. You can pick up your packet and info at your site of first game. Extra t-shirts will be sold at Waterford Kettering only.
Free Team Photo with Plaque
Take your free team photo on Saturday at Waterford Kettering or Waterford Mott HS.
Bring your team anytime Saturday of the tournament between the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm.
A photographer will be their to take your team picture .. which we will have developed on the spot and placed in your team plaque at the same time.. no waiting.
The photographer will also be able to take care of individual pictures and purchases. A price list of these individual items can be downloaded from the Handouts section. Remember the plaque team photo is free ... there is no pressure to purchase any items. It is available only as a convenience.
Gym sites will be: Waterford Kettering High School (tournament headquarters), Waterford Mott High School, Oakland Community College, Our Lady of Lakes High School, and Mason Middle School.
Maps and address to these site will be available in the Handouts section .
We are working on pools (blind draw) and brackets .. we will have in our Handouts section as soon as they are complete. Keep an eye out for them first of April.
