9th Season

Welcome to South Texas Juniors Volleyball Club

Our philosophy and goal in organizing this club was to provide a service for
athletes in the valley who are serious about improving their volleyball skills. We will continue to teach our young athletes to become the best possible players they can be. We expect teamwork, positive attitude, team unity and good sportsmanship from all our players, coaches and parents. With the help of our dedicated coaching staff we will strive to provide the most competitive volleyball program in the valley. We hope to promote the sport of volleyball by offering a unique method of training and to broaden the horizons of our players, coaches and supporters.

South Texas Juniors Volleyball Tryouts

Girls 12yrs -14yrs: Sunday October 26th 2008  2:00pm-5:00pm

Girls 15yrs -16yrs: Sunday November 9th 2008 1:00pm-4:00pm

Girls 17yrs -18yrs: Sunday November 9th 2008 4:30pm-6:30pm

TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD AT THE DONNA HS GYM

STJ TRYOUT FORM (HANDOUT)

Cost: Travel Team $1100 per player

What it pays for: 2 jerseys, 2 tights, top and bottom warm-ups, practice shirts, travel bag, tournament fees, Lone Star Region membership fee, and coaches fees. All travel teams will practice at Donna HS gym. For more information call 956-536-2356

Practice Teams: If you are just wanting to be on a practice team (no tryouts required) Please give us a call so we can give you more information and place you on the practice team list. Once these practice teams are full we will not be excepting anymore players.

GOOD-SPORTSMANSHIP

We should all seek to compete to the best of our ability, treating ourselves, our fellow teammates, and our competitors with dignity and honor. Our behavior should reflect at all times that of Christ and our demeanor speak to the value of healthy competition. Instead of looking for the easy way to win or resort to cheating, being a good sport means that there are no short cuts to victory. Victory takes hard work and discipline. We should compete to the best of our ability, and hope to beat our competitors at their best. Good-Sportsmanship draws people together in the spirit of healthy competition and in the end the two are better for having competed.
