Raffle Ticket Sales - April 24^th - October 3rd - Contact Eva Snyder to get your raffle tickets or signs for the raffle now! (530) 577-4882 

Last Early Signup Date - July 15^th, 2008 (All signups after will be $175) (Remember you can signup with a $35 deposit this year and pay the balance by August 4^th, 2008. This avoids the late fee!)

Week #1 Games - September 5^th and 6^th, 2008

Sign-ups will begin in May 2008. Register on-line this year to receive a discount! On-line registrations will begin in May 2008 also. All participants will be required to register prior to annual physicals this year. A deposit will be required at the time of registration with the full registration fee due prior to the first day of practice. The first day of practice this season will be Monday, August 4^th, 2008. Be sure to register early as we are planning player clinics for the Spring this year. In addition, we will be offering at least one Coaches clinic that will be put on by Coach Morgan and his staff from South Tahoe High School.

This year each player will be asked to sell a minimum of 10 raffle tickets prior to the begining of the season. The sales of the raffle tickets is what will allow us to provide your children with the necessary equipment to play football and to keep the registration costs down. The child that sells the most tickets will get a prize that is yet to be determined. We are also looking at prizes for other ticket sellers, but that is yet to be determined. The sales of these tickets are critical to our plans this year as we are hoping to purchase "Sideline Capes" for all of the teams this year. The cost of these capes is in excess of $11,000 and we need everyones support to accomplish this. All ticket sales need to be accomplished prior to South Tahoe High School Homecoming Football Game that is tentatively set for October 4th. Total number of tickets to be sold this year is 3,000. Tickets will sell for $10 per ticket. This years Hawaii Trip includes airfare for 4, so sales should be much easier. In addition, there will be a second prize of a fishing trip provided by Mile High Fishing, a third prize of 4 tickets to Marine World and a fourth prize of 2 small paintings by a local artist. All interested parties should attend the next board meeting on Thursday, May 15^th at the Recreation Center at 6:30pm in the Cedar Room.

The intent this year is to align our program more closely with South Tahoe High School so our players are better prepared to play High School Football. This is a mutual goal of South Tahoe Pop Warner and South Tahoe High School. We look forward to the participation that will be required by all parties involved to strenghten the South Tahoe Football program to the level we know it can reach. This is not a short term commitment, but rather a multi-year commitment that both South Tahoe Pop Warner and South Tahoe High School have entered into. More details about the new program will be forthcoming. In addition, look to see more visability from the High School Coaches and Players in our South Tahoe Pop Warner program. This is an exciting time for all and should prove very rewarding to all of our players and coaches alike.

This year, South Tahoe Pop Warner is required to maintain our roosters on-line in the National Pop Warner registry software. Due to this change, we will require that all participants in our Cheer and Football programs register early to allow us time to get this information put in prior to the physical day. You can help by pre-registering your child in April with a small deposit to hold your childs spot. Registration will be available both on-line and by mail. Those participants that register on-line will receive an added discount that is not available by mail-in or at the in person registration clinics.

Other exciting events coming will include our 2nd Annual Hawaiian Vacation Raffle. Tickets will be sold for $10 each with a limit of 3,000 tickets sold. The vacation includes one week in a Condo in Maui (http://www.vrbo.com/81201) and airfare for 4. In addition, a second prize of a one day fishing charter has been donated by Joby Cefalu of Mile High Fishing Charters. Third prize will be 4 tickets to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo. Tickets went on sale on April 24^th. All participants will be required to sell a minimum of 10 tickets this season. The proceeds from this raffle is what helps to keep the registration costs down and provide the needed equipment for our players.

All parties interested in Coaching will be required to submit an application to South Tahoe Pop Warner no later than June 1^st, 2008. Applications will be available on the website by May 1^st, 2008.
