MID SEASON REVIEW

Well, we have reached the mid point of our season.  Can you believe the year is already half over?  WOW!  Pretty soon, it will be tournament time.  Southshore would like to congratulate our 2 first half division winners ...

MAJOR BASEBALL- Mariners 8-0

The Mariners finished off the first half of the season going undefeated with an 8-0 record.  Led by pitchers Jake Peters & Tony Fonseca the Mariners were tough to score on.  The consistant defense & offense of the entire team proved to be too much for the competition.  It will be fun watching the second half play out as the rest of the division takes aim at the Mariners.

MAJOR SOFTBALL- Bandits 8-0

It was a 2 team battle most of the way, but the Bandits proved too tough and finally locked up the first half with a 10-9 victory over the Riptide.  Led by the pitching of Sam Lambert & the defense of catcher / first baseman Andrea Lopez, the Bandits were on top of their game going a perfect 8-0.  The bats of Kayla Merrill & Kayla Hottel drove opossing defenses crazy.  The second half should be fun to watch as each team has improved and is setting their sights at claiming the second half title.
