South Maryland Little League - SMLL is a chartered affiliate of Little League Baseball, Inc. of Williamsport, PA (www.littleleague.org) and has been serving central Anne Arundel County for 11 years. We are a nonprofit organization serving hundreds of youths playing T-Ball through the Majors. Our players hail from Crofton, Davidsonville, Edgewater, Gambrills, Harwood, Mayo, Riva and South County. We provide a quality youth baseball program that focuses on teaching the skills of America's Pastime and also helps the young people of our community learn to work together as a team, develop individual leadership skills and increase their self confidence. Many of our kids join together to attend well respected local summer camps and Little League Summer Camp in Williamsport, PA. We have developed players who have gone on to play at the high school level. Our baseball players have won many awards that include:
We are staffed entirely by volunteers who are dedicated to creating the best quality program possible for the children, and we need your help to continue this tradition. All funds are generated through fees, fundraisers, business and community support like your own.

Thursday, July 10 South Maryland 11-12 Little League All Stars Win Maryland District 4 Championship Congratulations to the South Maryland 11-12 Little League All Star Team for winning the District 4 All Star Tournament. The 11-12 team accomplished something that has not been done in the past twelve years, by defeating the 12 time defending champions, Arbutus Little League in the Winner’s Bracket finals to face South Baltimore in the Championship game. South Maryland got down early, 5-0 but battled back the entire game to take the championship with an 8-7 victory. The team was managed by Mark Foley, and coached by JB Bello. We look forward to seeing this team do well at the Maryland State Tournament starting July 19 in Easton, Md. Please come and cheer them on!
Wednesday, July 2 10-11 All Star Team Wins District 4 Tournament! Congratulations to the South Maryland 10-11 All Star Team for winning the District 4 All Star Tournament. The team was managed by Tom Galvin, and coached by Charlee Owens and Jim Jeletic. The boys played some fantastic ball. We look forward to seeing this team do well at the Maryland State Tournament starting July 19 in Waldorf, Md.
Monday, June 16 2008 Little League All-Star Tournament The 2008 Little League All-Star Tournament teams and schedule are announced. Tournament play started in Little League in 1947 and continues to this day following established conduct managed by the Little League Baseball Tournament Committee. This is an exciting time of the season and represents exceptional ability and skill. The selection of the tournament teams were made primarily by balloting of the players with input from SMLL officials, managers, coaches, and umpires. The principle is to have all components of the league determine and participate in fair and democratic selection of the teams.
