St. Margaret's Bay Baseball Association: Registration Process

2008 Registration and Coaching Information

St. Margaret’s Bay Baseball Association will be holding the 2008 baseball registration at the St. Margaret’s Centre (Arena) on Wednesday April 9th from 7pm -9pm and Saturday April 12th, from 1pm until 4pm. Players are encouraged to register by these dates, as later registration may result in the failure of getting to participate in this program or reduce your chances of getting on a particular team.

For your added convenience you may choose to visit http://www.smbbaseball.com to find all the information you’ll need, print the registration form and mail it with your cheque to: SMBBA c/o Sherry d’Entremont, 12944 Peggy’s Cove Road, Tantallon, N. S. B3Z 2K9.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact any of the following executive members

Our association is responsible for minor baseball, from 5 yrs up to and including the age of 21, in the St. Margaret's Bay Area from Beechville to Hubbards along the Bay Road and from Hammonds Plains to Dover along the Peggy's Cove Road.

This organization relies on volunteers who graciously donate their time, enabling this important youth program to exist.

As SMBBA’s enrollment is climbing, we may re-examine the possibility of hosting Rep teams again. All team coaches or designates will be included with Executive members so information and ideas between the parents, players and coaches can be better communicated. We are also trying to reserve more local fields.   All teams will dressed and equipped equally through SMBBA, so, this year we are in need of an equipment manager. Even if you think you want to help out on the field but don't know how to get involved, it's simple, call any of us. You don't know how to coach baseball? Well, we can solve that problem too. We will arrange for a coaching course for all our first time coaches and SMBBA will pay for the course. All coaches will be required to acquire an RCMP clearance certificate, available locally for a small fee. It doesn’t take long to learn the basics and get you started on a summer of fun.

So, if you can spare 3 hours, twice a week from June-to September then we have an adventure for you!

Yours in Baseball, Pam Smith Jones
