You have reached the home of the 18 & Under Sellersville Belles Fastpitch Softball Team. This team is made of talented players from Bucks, Berks, Chester, Northampton, and Montgomery Counties. The 2009 season will be the 16th year of the Sellersville Belles.

Playing in Sellersville is different than most places.  Players who come to Sellersville stay in Sellersville.  Our players and parents develop into a large family-type unit that works hard together to host 4-5 tournaments per year as our major source of fundraising. We do tournaments right at Sellersville and teams come from Maryland, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, and of course Pennsylvania to experience a Sellersville Belles Tournament.

We strive to put together a team of young ladies who, much like the charter members of the Sellersville Belles were, are a group of hard-working, enthusiastic, hustling players who love the game of softball. We play a schedule of both showcase tournaments as well as competitve elimination tournaments. We teach fundamental skills and want our players to develop into students of the game of fastpitch softball. We place high expectations on our players as they prepare for play at the collegiate level. We believe that because fastpitch is such a great game, it should be fun. The Belles work hard and play hard, and have a good time doing both. Come on out to B. Earl Druckenmiller Park and catch the Sellersville Belles as they bring their exciting brand of "Belles Ball" to the Softball Mecca of Eastern Pennsylvania - Sellersville!!

This years Sellersville Belles will be working to return to the "Big Dance" - ASA Class A 18 & Under National in Las Vegas, Nevada.  We will work hard to achieve this goal because after all - "What Happens In Vegas Stays With You Forever!!"

For the past three years the Sellersville Belles have tied the Fall Classic Tournaments to a benefit for those in need.  The Fall Classic has benefited the following:

2005     New and Used Softball Equipment for Katrina Victims

2006     Toys Collected for The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia

2007     Household Items for the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia

The 2008 Tournament will again help a very local appeal.  Melissa Nunn is a young lady who is a softball player who was tragically injured on a family vacation this summer and is now a quadriplegic.  This has turned the lives of both Melissa and her family upside down.  There has been a tremendous rallying of support for the Nunns in an organization named with the following web-site, www.AMiracle4Melissa.org.  We are giving some of the proceeds of our tournaments to this cause.  We suggest that each team go to the web-site and consider anything that they might do to help this cause also.  But each team's participation in our tournament will in fact help this worthwhile cause.  

During the course of the days of the tournament there will be different fund-raisers going on to help raise money to help Melissa Nunn.  If teams would like to do their own fund-raiser and/or make a donation to this cause you can do it directly or through the Sellersville Belles who will pass these monies on in your team's name.

Yes, Alex MacLean will live her dream - to pitch and play for a Division I college team!  That team will be the Bisons of Bucknell University.  "Amac" verbally committed to Bucknell while on her official visit a couple of weeks ago.  Probably one of the strongest pitchers in recent Belles history has worked hard to get this opportunity.

Good luck Alex!  We are happy for you, your brother, and your mom that this big decision is taken care of.

Alex will join 2008 Sellersville Belles teammate Brittany Schlorff who started her college career at Bucknell in fall of 2008.  Let's go Belles!!

Yes, Christine Scherr is sure that Monmouth University will be the best place for her to pursue softball in college and get a college degree.  Christine verbally committed after her official visit to Monmouth several weeks ago.  We are very happy for Christine and her family that this big decision has been made.  We wish you all of the best.

 Christine follows former Sellersville Belle Heather Gordon to Monmouth.  Gordon pitched and played outfield while at Monmouth, but was famous for her offensive contributions.

  Come on out for a day of fastpitch softball and see some coaches find out "just what they might have for the upcoming 2009 season."

...will be held in B. Earl Druckenmiller Park on September 20th, 2008.  Eight teams from local banking institutions will compete in this benefit softball tournament.  Over the past 19 years, the tournament has raised over $150,000 that has gone to offset medical bills and expenses for local families in need.  This year two children and one mother will be helped by the monies raised.

 The Sellersville Belles will help in this community service project by serving as grounds crews and running our "world-renouned snack stand."  Proceeds for the snack stand will go toward the benefit.  We hope that you all will come out and support this wonderful cause that helps local people in need.  Come on out, you can "bank" on having a "bash!"

It is both an exciting and disappointing time of year for every team and coaching staff.  Tryouts bring talented softball players to Druckenmiller Park, and with them the tough decision of who will be chosen to wear the purple and teal of the Sellersville Belles.  Some players are happy and excited by the decisions made and some are greatly disappointed.  The Sellersville Belles want to thank all of the young ladies who attended our tryouts and we wish to best of luck to those who were not chosen.
