     Welcome to the website for the South Central Bank Lady Invitational of the South. The tournament will be December 27-30th at Allen County-Scottsville High School in Scottsville Kentucky. For information about each team, please follow the team link below. General tournament information may be found in the links to your left.

    This year will mark the 25th year girls basketball teams from Kentucky, Tennessee, the "South" and the world have come to Scottsville for the tournament. We hope to see you at the 2008 South Central Bank Lady Invitational of the South.

  • Ohio County is ranked 12th in the state and first in the Third Region.
  • Bowling Green is ranked first in the Fourth Region. Allen County-Scottsville is ranked seventh in the region.
  • North Hardin is ranked 10th in the state and second in the Fifth Region.
  • Notre Dame is ranked second in the Ninth Region. Boone County is ranked third in the region.
  • George Rogers Clark (Clark County) is ranked second in the Tenth Region.
  • Franklin County is ranked fifth in the 11th Region.
  • Knott County Central is ranked third in the 14th Region.
  •  Pike County Central is ranked fourth in the 15th Region.
  • Ashland Blazer is ranked first in the 16th Region.  .

Top SCBLIS Players As Ranked in The Courier-Journal Pre-Season Player Rankings

Mariah Robinson (Ohio County) is ranked as the 12th best player in Kentucky and the top player in teh Third Region. The 5'6" senior has signed to play her collage ball at Murray State. Robinson's team mate Olivia Millsaps is regarded as the Third Region's 10th best player 

Erica Smith (Bowling Green) is listed as the third best player in the Fourth Region.

Shelby Harper (Allen County-Scottsville) is ranked as the fifth best player in the Fourth Region. 

RaeChaun Edwards (North Hardin) is a 5'4: sophomore rated as the 25th best player in teh state and the third best player in teh Fifth Region. Her North Hardin team mate, Destiny Bramblett is ranked as the fith best player in the Fifth Region while fellow teammate  Jennifer Smiley  is the ninth best player in Region Five. 

Jacy Bradley (Boone County) is regarded as the top player in the Ninth Region and the 21st top player in Kentucky. Bradley will play college ball at St. Louis. Teammate Lauren Bowling is listed as the tenth best player in the Ninth Region. 

Casey Jackson (Notre Dame) is rated as the second best player in the Ninth Region.

Jewel Rogers (Clark County) is rated as the second best player in the 10th Region with  Preshia Rogers (Clark County) ranked seventh in the region 

Ashhley Decker (Franklin County) is listed as the ninth best player in the 11th Region.,

 Sammy King (Knott County Central) is tated as the fifth best player in the 14th Region.,

A.D. Slone (Pike County Central) is listed as the ninth best player in Region 15.

Ali Wilcox (Ashland Blazer) is rated as the fifth best player in the 16th Region while Kim Strait (Ashland Blazer) is regarded as the sixth top player in the region.

Quick Facts About the 2008 SCBLIS
  • 2008 will be the 25th year for the SCBLIS.
  • The 2008 tournament will have three first time participants: Livingston Academy (TN), Notre Dame, and Pike County Central. 
  • This year’s tournament includes one 30-game winners from last year; Clarkrange. 
  • This year's tournament will have ten 20-game winners from last year: Clarkrange (32-7), Ohio County (28-5), Pike County Central (25-6), Livingston Academy (TN) (25-8), Ashalnd Paul Blazer (24-5), North Hardin (24-8), Knott County Central (23-9),  Bowling Green (22-11), Boone County (21-10), and Notre Dame (20-11).
  • The 2008 tournament field includes Clarkrange, the 2008 TSSAA state tournament Class A runner-up.   
  • The 2008 SCBLIS includes Ohio County, a 2008 Houchens Industries/KHSAA Girls Sweet Sixteen® Basketball Tournament quarter-finalist. 
  • Clarkrange reached the quarter-finals of the TSSAA Class A state tournament in 2007. 
  • Antioch reached the quarter-finals of the TSSAA Class 3-A state tournament in 2007. 
  • Pike County Central, 25-6 in 2008, advanced to the Houches Industries.KHSAA state tournament semi-finals in 2007.
  • North Hardin, 24-8 last year, reached the quarter-finals of the Houchens Industries/KHSAA state tournament in 2007.
  • Notre Dame posted a 20-11 record in 2008, a year after a 29-5 season and a run to the Houchens Industries/KHSAA quarter-finals.
  • Livingston Academy (TN) reached the TSSAA Class 2-AA state tournament semi-finals in 2007 with a record of 29-9.
  • Boone County and George Rogers Clark are returning to the SCBLIS for the first time since the early 1990s.
  • Bowling Green coach Lavonda Johnson played in the SCBLIS several times during her high school career at Warren East.
  • Allen County-Scottsville coach Brad Bonds, a 1994 graduate of ACS, served as an SCBLIS staff member during his college years at Campbellsville.
