Sunday, July 13Division Ages Changed
On July 10, the Board voted to realign our age groups to be more in line with other leagues and make our league better. Beginning in 2009, Instructional T-Ball will be 4 year olds only, Ages 5 and 6 will play advanced Tball and 7 year olds will move up to play Rookie with the 8 year olds. The League age is determined by how old your child is on April 30, 2009. This means that this years (2008) 6 & 7 year olds will all move to Rookie.

Fall Ball 2008
We will be doing Fall Ball this year beginning September 7, 2008. Registrations will be Saturday,August 2 and Saturday, August 9 from 10am to 1PM at J. B. Finlay concession. Registration will be $35. We are currently talking to Lakeside about a few games but the emphasis will be on practicing and improving skills, especially for the upcoming 6 year olds, who will be playing Rookie with the pitching machine next year and the 5 year olds, who will be in advanced TBall.

Coaches
Babe Ruth is requiring that all coaches be certified for 2008. The course is online and costs $19.95. It takes 2 or 3 hours but you can work on it and come back as many times as you want. Its not what everyone wanted but it can't hurt, you may learn something. The certification is for life, so you only have to take it once. This is a change.
