Saddleback Valley Pop Warner Football & Cheer: Welcome

SVPW is pleased to annouce that we are hosting a pre-season football camp for children ages 7-15.  This is a non contact camp developed and directed by the Varsity Football Staff of El Toro HS and Capo Valley HS. 

WHEN:  July 14th - 17th AND July 21st - 24th 

WHERE:  Los Alisos Middle School Football Fields

COST:  $75 per session or $125 for both sessions (save $25) for SVPW children

           $100 per session or $175 for both sessions for non SVPW children

DEADLINE:  postmarked before July 1st gets you the rates above, so don't delay! Each session goes up $25 if the registration form is postmarked after July 1st.

Come join us for a great day of golf!  We are pleased to annouce our 5th annual golf classic at the beautiful Tijeras Creek Country Club.

Each entry fee includes 18 holes of 4-man scramble golf, golf cart, range balls, tournament meal and awards at the end of the day.

We are actively seeking golfers and sponsors for this event.  Please see the handout at the bottom of this article for event information and instructions on how to register. 

Registration for our 2008 season is closed.  We're sorry we missed you!  Please check back here in early 2009 for registration for our 2009 season. 

2008 Registration Fees:

$200 Flag    

$300, Tackle Football (tackle football fees will increase after May 1st)

$350 Returning Cheerleader   

$450 New Cheerleader needing uniform 

NOTE:  cheer registration fees increase by $25 on the first of each month, so don't wait!  Register today!

If you are a new player, we'll also need you to provide a photocopy of your county birth certificate at the time of registration.  Proof of birthdates are required by the conference and the birth certificates are placed in our team books.

Division/Ages/Weights:

All ages are as of July 31st, 2008:

Flag:  ages 5 & 6 with no weight restrictions

Jr Mitey Mite:  ages 7 & 8 between 45-90 pounds

Mitey Mite:  ages 7 & 8 between 45-90 pounds AND 9 year olds between 45-70 pounds

Jr Pee Wee:  ages 8, 9, 10 between 60-105 pounds AND 11 year olds between 60-85 pounds

Pee Wee:  ages 9, 10, 11 between 75-120 pounds AND 12 year olds between 75-100 pounds

Jr Midget:  ages 10, 11, 12 between 85-135 pounds AND 13 year olds between 85-115 pounds 

Midget:  ages 11, 12, 13, 14 between 105-160 AND 15 year olds between 105-140 pounds

We are so proud of our cheer program!  Our girls work hard every week cheering on the boys and doing our own competitions.

ALL of our squads made us very proud this year!  To have TWO teams be Nationally ranked is truly an honor and the direct result of the hard work of our girls, along with their coaches and trainers.  If you see our girls out and about in town, sporting their NATIONAL CHAMPION jackets, give them a high five!

At SVPW, our goal is to develop well rounded boys and girls who will not only learn the fundamentals of football and cheerleading, but also the importance of education, team work and sportsmanship.  We pride ourselves on providing the youth of our community with a foundation of sportmanship and fellowship that they can carry with them throughout their lives.

Our association serves the following cities:  Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Portola Hills, Foothill Ranch, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, and Aliso Viejo.  We are proud to have partnered with two local High Schools to provide our teams with the opportunity to play on the turf and in some instances, under the lights!

Our organization is run entirely by volunteers, most of whom have children in our football and cheer programs.  Our teams are known as the BEARS, CHARGERS and WOLVERINES.
