Welcome to Our Site!
The RI X-Treme is a girl's fastpitch softball travel team organization based in Exeter-West Greenwich, RI. Exeter-West Greenwich Girls Softball is host and sponsor of RI X-Treme.
The X-Treme will play softball tournaments during spring and summer 2008. The X-Treme is a competitive travel softball team that will play in six (6) weekend tournaments primarily in RI, CT, NY and MA. The X-Treme will host a National Qualifier Tournaments at home in West Greenwich during the 2008 season and will earn bids to PONY Nationals, held each year in Virginia. This is not recreational-league softball but is intended challenge players and put the best team available into competition. There is a player and parent commitment to the team. Each player is expected to participate in all practices and tournaments held during the season.
The X-Treme also needs parent involvement and help for our success, including providing help during home and away tournaments. We expect each family will help and participate in fundraising events, especially at our home tournaments, which is our biggest fundraiser. Players are encouraged to seek a sponsor for their player entry fee.
Practices (one per week) begin, weather permitting, during fall 2007 and then in the gym during January, February and March 2008. Practices will be held at the Exeter-West Greenwich Lineham Softball Fields located at 859 Nooseneck Hill Road, West Greenwich, RI and in the EWG Jr.- Sr. High School Gym.
