IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND DATES 

Congratulations to former Randolph Oiler linebacker Tom Kirlis...Tom was voted into the American Football Association Hall of Fame and will be inducted in December.

In other news, equipment manager John Carmen suffered a seizure last friday...John is currently at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton...All our prayers go out to John

The Randolph Oilers cinderella season came to an emotional end saturday night when we were defeated by the Clinton Irish Blizzard...The Blizzard will play the Charlestown Townies next week to decide the EFL Champion...I wish I could give the Blizzard the respect they deserve by writing a game recap, but it honestly is still to painful for me to think about...In short, the better team won...Period...And as hard as it will be to watch from the stands, the Oilers will give the Townies and the Blizzard the respect they've earned and we'll be there saturday to watch two great teams battle for one the most coveted awards in semi-pro football, the EFL championship.

   That said, I wanna talk to my boys...Oilers, this hurt, no doubt...But I'm proud of you all...It really says alot about hard work and dedication to take an 0-10 team an bring it to the brink of a championship game...Be proud boys, we litearlly brought back the Randolph Oiler franchise to where we belong...It usually takes years to turn around an EFL organization, coach of the year Ed Penn did it in 12 months...Personally I'd follow that man into Hell if he asked me too...We may never be the 1990 Oilers, in my mind the best team in EFL history, but someday soon we might be able to hang our picture under theirs, if you know what I mean

  I wanna thank Peter and Marge O'Kane, without you two there wouldn't be an Oiler team and quite possibly not an EFL either...I wanna thank Coaches Ed Penn, Sam Penn, John Gates, Al Lock, Byron Beamon, and John Carmen, like I said I'd follow you guys into Hell...I wanna thank all the true warriors who didn't quit on this team when there was almost no Oiler team, I really wanted to win it this year for you guys...I wanna thank the guys who were fellow rookies with me last year, who'll make damn sure they'll always be an Oiler team...I wanna thank the rookies this year who gave us that big push to get to where we ended up...I wanna thank the guys who are coming to our family next year to give us that final bit of awesome we need to be champions...I wanna thank Mark and the Randolph VFW, you guys do so much more for us than you know...And the fans...The best fans in the EFL who stuck with us through that 0-10 season and stood behind us until the final whistle blew on our season...We love you...Look, as bad as I felt leaving the field the other night, there's just something about seeing all of us partying together at the V that made me feel pretty good.

   Guys, this hurt...But we need to build on this season...And if ANYONE is thinking of not coming back for any reason, I respect that, but come next spring and i don't see you at practice, expect a call from me...I love this team and I will be here as long as my body allows me...There is honestly never gonna be a group of guys I want to go to battle next to more than I want to go with you guys...Aside from the last 6 minutes I wouldn't change a damn thing about the 2008 season...The clock hit midnight on us boys and that crushed me, but we'll be back...I Promise you that...I never wanna feel the way I did saturday when I saw all your faces...The disappointment, the pain, the hurt...Every rep i do this off season, every minute of cardio I'm gonna think of how bad that felt...I want to keep this team together during the off season...As cheesy as it sounds, you guys are my family...We had some ups and down like every family but we bounced back like Oilers always will...And if anyone wants to grab a beer with me you all know where to find me...OILERS!!!!!!!!

CONGRTULATIONS TO COACH ED PENN FOR BEING NAMED THE EFL COACH OF THE YEAR FOR SECOND STRAIGHT SEASON...HE TOOK AN 0-10 TEAM AND TURNED THEM INTO CO-DIVISION CHAMPIONS AT 7-2...ASIDE FROM THE WELL DESERVED AWARD HE FINISHED THE SEASON WITH HIS BEST RECORD AS A COACH, AN ACHIEVEMENT NOBODY EXPECTED AFTER LAST SEASON...ON BEHALF OF THE TEAM, THE PLAYERS, THE CITY AND THE EFL  CONGRATULATIONS COACH 

 CONGRATULATIONS TO RYAN MYERS AND DAN CARROLL...RYAN WAS NAMED EFL OFFENISVE MVP AND DAN WAS NAMED EFL DEFENSIVE MVP...RYAN, WHO GREW UP AROUND THE OILER ORGANIZATION IS HAVING HIS BEST SEASON AS OILER'S QUATERBACK LEADING THE TEAM TO A 7-2 RECORD AND A CO-EFL REGULAR SEASON TITLE...DANNY FINISHED THE SEASON WITH 8 INTERCEPTIONS AND PLAYED A BIG ROLE ON BOTH OFFENSE AND DEFENSE...ALSO, A FRANCHISE RECORD 10 OILERS WERE NAMED TO THE ALL-LEAGUE TEAM...CONGRATULATIONS GUYS

Greeting to you all. Thank you for visiting the home of the Randolph Oilers. Randolph now began the start of another great season. The oilers have been in existance fo 35 years. The win-loss record really cannot start to measure the value of this program. The owners have prided themselves and has treated all players who has worn the Blue and Gold, as a family member. To evaluate the success of the Randolph Oilers, all you have to do is look around the EFL and NEFL, and you will see so many ex-players, coaches, and staff members from the Oiler Family
