2008 Shinguard Rule Modification
Rule 4-1-1-Player Equipment
Shinguards must be professionally manufactured, age and size appropriate, not altered, worn under the stockings with the bottom edge no higher than two inches above the ankle. The shinguard must cover at least 60% of the area starting two inches above the ankle and extending to the kneecap. Shinguards must meet NOCSAE specifications.
From Coach Walters: The keys to this shinguard rule are:
1- Shinguards must be an appropriate size covering most of your shin.
2- Shinguards MUST have the NOCSAE stamp or tag on them. (Do not remove)
3- Referees are being told to enforce this strictly this year after "suggesting" it for years. Players can have a couple pair of different size shinguards and use whatever pair a given referee is allowing. But if you do not have a pair big enough with the proper stamp then you will not play.

PAUL VI HOSTS "WOMENS PROFESSIONAL SOCCER" GAME
Haddon Twp. - The New Jersey Wildcats played their first ever HOME game in Southern New Jersey at Paul Vi High School on June 24, 2008. Although the home team lost 1-0 to New Jersey Sky Blue, the crowd of approximately one thousand fans would indicate that South Jersey is ready to support womens professional soccer at the grassroots level. Paul VI players and parents were out in force supporting the game which shows the level of commitment to both the game and our school. According to the Newark Star Ledger...." it was the largest crowd the Wildcats have drawn in years for the strong franchise".
