Travis Markey doubled home Dylan Oakes in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead the Braves to a 6-5 extra inning victory over the Indians. Markey also picked up the win on the mound in relief of Oakes and Anthony Re. Adam Branco homered in the bottom of the first, while Adam Tavares tripled and singled for the Braves.

The Indians got strong pitching from starter Ricky Viveiros and Joshua Alejandro. PJ Murphy doubled for the Indians while Michael D'Agnone, Viveiros, Dennis Murphy, Alejandro, and Chris Briney hit safely.

Austin Rager, Dakota Lauderi, Pete Gallino, and Mike Frohnhoefer combined to pitch a one-hit shut out for the Red Sox. Gallino also had two hits, and Ethen Mester, Brendan Waldron, Rager, Tommy McGovern, and David Riddick all had one hit apiece for the winners.

The Rockies got solid pitching from Chris Quarles while Brodie Hale picked up the lone hit for UCLL.

Terry Noss pitched a complete game striking out 7 and allowing only 4 hits to gain the win for the Red Sox. Jason Bradley led the Sox at the plate with 3 hits. Pete Gallino and Ethen Mester added 2 hits each. Dakota Lauderi, Mike Frohnhoefer, Brendan Waldron, Austin Rager, and Tommy McGovern all had 1 hit each.

Kyle Plasky pitched 4 strong innings for the Cardinals striking out 4 batters. Jason Diotalevi had 2 hits with Ryan Martin and Plasky adding 1 hit each for the Cards.

Jason Szarzinski pitched a complete game striking out 5 batters while scattering 5 hits to secure the win on the mound. Mike D'Agnone had 2 hits while Chris Briney, and Joe Viveiros each added a hit for the Indians. Nick Hernandez made a great catch in left field.

Ethen Mester pitched well for the Red Sox striking out 8 batters and allowing 4 hits. Jason Bradley belted a triple and Trevor Hendricks hit a long double. Mike Frohnhoefer, Mitchell Santos, and Mester all had singles for the Sox.

Mick Pernell and Josh Alejandro split the pitching duties for the Indians with Alejandro picking up the victory. The Indians pounded out 16 hits, led by Pernell 2-2 with 3 runs scored, Alejandro 2-3 with 2 RBI’s, Rick Viveiros 2-3 with 2 RBI’s, EJ Gunnison 2-3 with a run scored, Joe Viveiros 1-2 with an RBI, and Dennis Murphy 2-3 with an RBI.

The Cardinals were led by Rick Plasky 2-2, 2 RBI’s and a run scored and Kevin Mariano 1-2 with a run scored. Travis Wyant and Kyle Pyshna played solid defense for the Cardinals.

Colin Leary singled to drive home the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning leading the Giants to victory over the Braves. The Giants banged out 7 hits, singles by Lucas Clari, Chris Anderson, Spencer Dreher, Robbi Clark, Dave Kloc, Colin Leary & Chris Yacavone. Spencer Dreher worked 4 and 1/3 innings on the mound, relieved by David Kloc and winning pitcher Aaron Yourison.

For the Braves, John Dean singled, doubled and scored, Adam Tavares singled and scored three times, while Kevin Stevenson singled and scored. Mike Garbatini had a single and Jordan Ruff hit the ball hard. Travis Markey pitched three innings striking out five batters.

Terry Noss pitched a complete game shutout striking out 9 for the Red Sox. Noss singled and Dakota Lauderi doubled while Mike Frohnhoefer's double provided 2 RBIs to break a 0 - 0 tie in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Ricky Viveiros pitched a 3 hitter striking out 9 batters for the Indians. Mick Pernell, Jason Szarzinski, Josh Alejandro, PJ Murphy, and Joe Viveiros all had singles for the Indians.

Joshua Aviles threw a four-inning no hitter leading the Giants to victory over the Yankees of Union City LL. Aviles had a double and a triple on offense while Spencer Dreher added a double. Singling for the Giants were Mike Mezzio, Chris Yacavone, Chris Anderson, Colin Leary & Steve Pauplauskas. Lucas Clari stabbed a ball in left field off the bat of Zach Festa to preserve the no hitter.

Alan Young, Chris Sheedy, Zach Festa, Connor Mohan and Ryne Greisenaur swang the bat well for the Yankees.

Chris Anderson pitched five strong innings striking out 13 batters and allowing one hit. Colin Leary and David Kloc pitched the sixth inning to seal the win for the Giants. Anderson led the offensive attack with a double and a triple. Joshua Aviles, Lucas Clari, Colin Leary, and Chris Yacavone all added base hits for the Giants.

Mike Frohnhoefer and Dakota Lauderi pitched well for the Red Sox. Lauderi had a single and double with Terry Noss belting a long single for the Sox.

Travis Markey doubled twice, knocked in a run, and scored twice to lead the Braves to victory over the Orioles of Union City Little League. Adam Tavares and Adam Branco both had triples while Dylan Oakes and Colin Marchesseault doubled on offense. Marcus Matt had a pair of singles and batted in two runners for the Braves. Adam Tavares allowed only one hit through four innings on the mound while sriking out nine batters.

Mike Antidormi led the Orioles at the plate, and Tyler Saad pitched a strong game.

Jason Szarzinski pitched a complete game one hitter, striking out eight Giants. Chris Briney had an RBI double. Michael D'Agnone had a triple and scored the winning run. Sarzinski had a single and drove in the winning run. Dennis Murphy and Tyler Baptista played well defensively.

Spencer Dreher pitched well for the Giants striking out 10 batters. Devan Aviles had a single and Joshua Aviles hit the ball well for the Giants. Colin Leary played solid defense for the Giants.

The Braves scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning sparked by Matthew Whitney's infield single and then held off a Cardinal rally to win a the battle between undefeated teams 7 - 6. John Dean pitched four strong innings, allowing three hits while striking out nine batters. Dylan Oakes earned the win and Anthony Re finished things in the sixth inning. The Braves were led at the plate by Dean with a double, a single, and two runs scored. Adam Tavares had a single and scored twice, while Re and Adam Branco both doubled.

The Cardinals rode the strong pitching arms of Ricky Plasky and Zak Krusko and scored four times in the fifth inning to tie the game at five. Kyle Plasky led the Cards at the plate with a long double, and Josh Rinaldi had two hits.

Austin Rager and Terry Noss combined to throw a shutout with Rager pithching 5 and a third innings and Noss closing for the Sox. Noss hit a ground rule double for an RBI and David Riddick had an RBI. Also getting hits were Trevor Hendricks, Mike Frohnhoefer, Austin Rager, Dakota Lauderi, and Pete Gallino, who also stole 2 bases.

Joshua Aviles and Spencer Dreher pitched well for the Giants. Steve Paplauskas had 2 hits and Chris Anderson hit a long double, while Aaron Yourison had a single. Joshua Aviles, Spencer Dreher, and Lucas Clari all hit the ball hard for the Giants.

The 2 teams will meet again ths Sat. at 12 noon.

Although the sun has just popped out, rain throughout the day has made the field unready for action this evening. Games are postponed with reschedules TBA. Indians batting practice has been rescheduled to Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the batting cage area.

The rain has forced the postponement of tonight's games. The Cardinals vs Union City reschedule is TBA, the Giants vs Braves originally scheduled for Monday will be played Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. The Cardinals vs the Braves originally scheduled for Tuesday has been moved to Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

In another change, Saturday's game between the Giants and the Indians will be changed to Giants vs the Red Sox. The Indians will play the Red Sox on May 20th instead. These changes will appear on the calendar soon.

The Indians practice scheduled for Tuesday at 6:00 pm at Foley will now be a batting cage session only.

Ethen Mester fired a two- hitter, striking out 8 batters while pitching a complete game for the Red Sox. Terry Noss had 2 hits and both RBIs while Pete Gallino, Jason Bradley, and Tommy McGovern all hit safely for the Sox.

Mick Pernell and Ricky Viveiros pitched well for the Indians as they recorded 13 strikeouts and held the Sox scoreless for the last 5 innings. Mick Pernell and P.J. Murphy singled while Jason Szarzinski, Dennis Murphy, and Tyler Baptista all hit the ball hard for the Indians.

Kyle Plasky pitched a two-hit complete game victory striking out 12 for the Cardinals while helping himself at the plate with a single and a run scored. Corey Plasky also singled for the 3 - 0 Cardinals.

Joshua Aviles and David Kloc both singled for the Giants.

In Friday's nightcap, The Cardinals defeated the Rockies of Union City 12 - 2. Zak Krusko went the distance on the mound for the Cardinals striking out 10 batters. Ryan Martin had a double and two runs batted in, Kyle Plasky singled and scored twice, and Josh Rinaldi had two singles and two runs scored.

For the Rockies, Chris Quarles tripled and Bryan Coney hit a double.

Adam Branco homered twice, doubled, and drove in four runs and Adam Tavres hit a solo shot and a double as the Braves defeated the Indians in Friday's early game. Tavares pitched five innings allowing one hit and striking out nine. Branco came on to pitch the sixth for the winners. John Dean tripled, doubled and scored two runs while Marcus Matt, Colin Marchesseault and Dylan Oakes all had doubles in pacing the winners. Jordan Ruff reached base safely in each of his three at bats.

For the Indians, EJ Gunnison had an RBI double and Jason Szarzinski reached base on an error and eventually scored. Szarzinski also had six strikouts on the mound for the Tribe.

Jason Bradley pitched a no-hit shutout striking out eight batters for the win. Ethen Mester, Terry Noss, and Trevor Hendricks all had hits for the Red Sox.

Spencer Dreher and Josh Aviles pitched well for the Giants. Steve Paplauskas, Devan Aviles, Spencer Dreher, and Joshua Aviles all hit the ball hard for the Giants.

Ryan Martin had two singles, and Zak Krusko Doubled in two RBI as the Cards defeated the Indians in both teams' opening game. Travis Wyant tripled for the Cards, while Kyle Pyshna had a single and a run batted in. Ricky Plasky earned the win on the mound.

For the Indians Ricky Viveiros had a double and an RBI, E.J. Gunnison singled home a run, and Mike D'Agnone had a single, a double and a run batted in.

John Dean & Adam Tavares combined to pitch a two hitter striking out 15 batters. Dean had two hits including a double while Tavares also added a double. Also hitting safely for the Braves were Dylan Oakes, Marcus Matt, and Adam Branco who had a two-run triple.

Terry Noss pitched a great game for the Red Sox striking out 11 batters and Dakota Laudieri made a shoestring catch in right field. Pete Gallino had a triple and scored on Jason Bradley's double for the Sox only run.

Mayor Mike Bronko threw out the first pitch Sunday to Indian's catcher Mike D'Agnone as part of the Opening Day ceremonies at the Little League Stadium. The league bagan its 60th season of play, keeping its tradition as the oldest Little League Stadium in New England. More photos from opening Day can be found in Album section.

Team-by-team schedules including inseason practices are posted in the Handouts section of the web site. The Calendar will also list all games and practices.

Like the weather in New England, baseball schedules can change quickly -- more quickly than the web site. We will strive to keep this information current. However, your coach's information always trumps the web site in terms of scheduling accuracy.
