Snack Bar
Operating Procedures and Rules

    1. Fire and health inspections must be completed before opening for the season.
    2. No one under the age of 15 may be in the snack bar...Labor Law.
    3. Volunteers will wash their hands after handling money and before handling food.
    4. Volunteer will wash their hands according to posted directions.
    5. First Aid kit must be available at all times, and must be properly stocked.
    6. Fire extinguishers must be recharged annually and be accessible.
    7. County Health permit must be displayed along with all required health and safety postings.
    8. Ice scoops must be used.
    9. Ice used for cooling must NOT be used in cups, and must be stored separately.
    10. NO SMOKING IN THE SNACK BAR.
    11. If you are sick… stay home.
    12. No food may be served which is not prepared on site.
    13. Gloves are mandatory when handling food.
    14. No eating in the snack bar as per County health laws
    15. CO2 tanks will be chained to prevent tipping or falling
    16. All equipment will be washed and disinfected daily with proper materials before closing and/or re-opening.
    17. All snack bar personnel are required to attend the First Aid clinic.
    18. Propane tanks will be turned off each night at closing.
    19. All cleaning materials will be stored in a locked cabinet AWAY from food.
    20. Snack bar manager will:
        a. Instruct all volunteers as to safety and health procedures.
        b. Inspect snack bar prior to opening, for hazards including all equipment.
        c. Determine if any existing hazards warrant closing of the snack bar.
        d. Arrange Fire and Health inspections prior to opening for the season.
        e. See that all rules are known and followed.
        f. No minors (under 18) may operate the grill(if used).
