Greetings Palo Verde Little League Parent(s) and Guardian(s):
As you are aware, we have had to raise our registration fees this year. This is due to much higher costs than expected this year. The cost of running little league is far more then just the costs of hats, shirts and socks, that are most apparent to the players and parents of the league. Below is a breakdown of this years predicted expences.
Last years past due debt: $1,800.00
Flyers/Advertising: $500.00
Baseballs: $3000.00
Players equipment(Helmets, Catchers gear, etc): $1500.00
Players Uniforms(Shirt, Hat, Socks): $5600.00
Umpire Equipment: $210.00
Junior Umpire Costs: $1,090.00
Breakaway Bases: $2,400.00
Pictures: $1,770.00
League Charter& Insurance: $2,191.00
District Fees: $1,125.00
Trophys: $1,770.00
Patches: $236.00
Bank Services Charges: $50.00
Office Supplies: $150.00
PO Box: $40.00
Field Repairs/Maintenance:$500.00
Volunteer Shirts:$200.00
Storage:$848.00
Web-site:$80.00
Costco-Renewal: $162.00
Player Transfer:$1,140.00
Fund Raiser cost: $125.00
Company Team Sponsors: $550.00
Company BackFence Sponsors:$400.00
No Pays/Scholorships: $1,000.00
Totally this all comes to about $28,400 dollars. Based on a projected 230 players, that works out to be about $123.00 dollars a player! Currently we are at only about 180 players. Only certian costs drop proportionally to the number of players. Things like Charter fees, Insurance, District fee, Breakaway bases, and many other expenses do not drop in cost.
So where does the extra money come from? In the form of SnackBar income, Team Sponsorships, BackStop banner sponsorships, our Carwash and Sports Cup Fund Raisers, and any other donations we can find. We are also cutting down on expenses. We are not purchasing the best of the shirts we really wanted. Instead of buying baseballs in bulk, we will buy them on a as needed basis. This year we did not have a phone. We had two Storage sites last year, but reduced it to just one this year.
So please help us find sponsors and patronize our SnackBar. See if the company where you work can be a sponsor or make a donation. Sponsorship forms came be found here on this Web-site.
