2009 Spring Registration

It's that time of year again when we give thanks for our families, our friends and baseball. With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, and Fallball drawing closer to conclusion, one can almost hear the faint sound of Santa's Sleighbells. Time continues to fly by. Saturday, November 1st was the first opportunity to get your athletes registered for Spring of 2009, and November 15th marked a second chance. We have one more day to sign up without incurring a late fee. If you have not yet registered your player, mark your calendars with the following dates.

REGISTRATION REMINDER:

Saturday, December 6th - 9am to 12noon at the OVLL Snack Bar

Late Registration: Wednesday, December 17th - 6pm to 8pm at Murdy Park (There will be an additional $25 late fee assessed after December 6th) 

2009 Registration information and necessary forms.

Returning Players: Please remember that it is Little League's policy that all players prove age and residency every season.

A Message from the Pres.

Hello OVLL Family-    We hope this “off-season” finds you healthy, happy – and panting for spring baseball!
 
We are mere weeks away from spring registration. Behind the scenes, we are gearing up – with fresh ideas, zealous volunteers and an eye towards Opening Day. 
 
One of the freshest ideas we have for the new season is Dugout News:  our quarterly newsletter - designed to inform, inspire and serve our OVLL community.  This week, Kim Villanueva - OVLL’s new Graphic Artist & Editor - published Volume 1.  See attached – and enjoy!
 
(You should receive a printed copy via U.S. Mail within a week or so. Please make note of the upcoming registration dates.)

The 2008 season was the finest in OVLL history.  We will build on our success in 2009.  To do so, we need more volunteers.
 
Jeff Pratto is our new Fundraising Director -  responsible for (amongst other things) courting auction and raffle items from local businesses for Opening Day. 
 
Today, JP is building out his Sponsor Force:  a team of eager, social, gals-about-town (or men) – that, between now and Opening Day, will canvass local H.B. businesses for support and sponsorship. 
 
This is the perfect position for our social-butterflies or smooth-talkers:  you can work as you play.  Time commitment: Minimal - a couple hours per week.
 
We’re looking for at least five (5) “butterflies” or “talkers” – to join OVLL’s Sponsor Force.
