The Olney Cyclone WAGS rising U13 blue and white teams are looking for 2 to 3 impact players and a goalie. Contact coach Steve Kenel at 301-252-7893 or coachkenel@aol.com for more information.
These 2 premier U-13 girls travel soccer teams (U-13 Fall 2008), based in Olney, Maryland, compete year-round -- both teams will play in the WAGS League this 2008-2009 season, and in winter and summer leagues at the Rockville Sportsplex. The Olney Cyclones are currently ranked 11th in the state of Maryland!! (according to gotsoccer.com) For parents of girls born on or after August 1, 1995, interested in arranging a tryout, please feel free to contact Coach Steve Kenel at coachkenel@aol.com or call him on his cell 301-252-7893.

WAGS STAR PROGRAM - The WAGS STAR Program provides trained certified assistant referees to U12, U13 and U14 matches when neutral assistant referees are not assigned. Our STARs for Fall '08 are:
Olney Cyclones White: Doug Flamand, Rudy Garcia, and Steve Diffenderfer
Olney Cyclones Blue: Rick Golladay, Stuart Langbein, and Drew Deshler

Cyclones Welcome 7 new players
With the Fall Season fast approaching and the move to 11 v. 11, the two Cyclones teams have added 7 players to their rosters. Welcome to Jessica J., Melinda S., Quinn P., Kelly F., Willow A. (not pictured), Amanda H. (not pictured), and Katie C. (not pictured). The girls are so glad to have you all as teammates and look forward to becoming great friends!!

OLNY Cyclones Blue Finish as Finalist in Columbia Invitational Tourney!!

The OLNY Cyclones Blue made it to the final game this Memorial Day weekend at the Columbia Invitational, 8 v. 8 Classics Division. They finished as Finalist in a great game vs. the SAC Columbia United White. The girls beat the FC Frederick Royal and tied the McLean MPS Fury 95 White on Saturday to make it to the semi-final game on Sunday. In the semi-final game, they trounced the Freedom Inferno to make it to Monday's exciting finale. The girls played a great early morning game, but lost 1-0. Still, a great finish!
The OLNY Cyclones White also played in the same tournament, and finished 3rd in the 8 v. 8 Premier Division. The girls played the SAC HC United Premier Blue, the McLean MPS Fury 95 Green, the Bethesda Legacy and FC Frederick. They beat the Bethesda Legacy 3-0, tied McLean and FC Frederick and lost to the tournament winner, SAC United Premier Blue. It was a great effort. Cyclones Capture 1st and 2nd place - Indoor Winter Session #2
Our girls had a very successful winter session #2 at the Rockville Sportsplex. OLNY (now the OBGC Cyclones White) finished in first place and CALV (now the OBGC Cyclones Blue) finished in 2nd place in the Girls U12-13 division. Great job girls!

CALV Cyclones Clinch U-12 Slot at OBGC!
Due to the departure of the U-12 Tigers to another club, the U-12 Calverton Cyclones will rejoin its sister Cyclones within OBGC!! The Cyclones will now be fielding two U-12 teams within OBGC, the Olney Cyclones White and the Olney Cyclones Blue. Stay tuned to find out in which divisions the two teams will be placed for the Spring 2008 season.
