Northwestern Wildcats : My Site News

Ladies,
Welcome to the web site of the Lady Cats Softball Team. You will find most of the information you will need for this season contained on the various pages of this site. Please use the calendar to see when various activities are and opportunities exist for this season. You can also use it to avoid unnecessary conflicts during the season.
See you at Open Gym!!!!
Mr.

Are you an Impact Player??

Hopefully you answered "YES", everyone on the team can be an "Impact player" Because, Everyone should have an "IMPACT" on the team.

But what about the players that don't start or don't play much?
While they may never get the game winning hit or the crucial last out, they still can contribute to the teams success!
Most times their contribution is hard work and positive attitude. Wouldn't you agree that back-up players that work hard push the starters in front of them? They keep starters on their toes and keep them performing at a optimal level.

Where do I start?
First figure out what it is that you can contribute to the team. It doesn't have to be an "on the field" thing.  But before you go any further you need to identify one way you contribute most to your team. Once you do that, set out to be the best at that one thing. That doesn't mean you slack in other areas, but make it a point to be a  "TEAM LEADER " in  at least this one area.
Start small if you have to, It can be as simple as attendance in open gyms, or being the best at showing up on time everyday and being ready before anyone else. Or challenge yourself to having the least strikeout this season, or the best on base %. Choose something and make it your focus as you train. Again, don't let other areas of the game down, but strive to be the best at something. Feel free to add to it or modify it as the season progresses. You may find that your more of an "IMPACT" player than you thought!

The Choice is YOURS!!
Just like everything else in life, you have a choice. You can choice to be an impact player and make a difference on your team. Or you can be the "weak link" on the team that everyone has to make up for. The choice is yours..........
Choose to be the IMPACT player!!!!
