NTLL LOCAL RULE
RULES FOR USING POOL PLAYERS
REGULAR SEASON PLAY
JUNIOR & SENIOR DIVISIONS ONLY
Effective March 23, 2007
1. You may add pool players to bring your playing roster to 10 players.
2. But no more than two pool players may be added
a. 9 regular players can add 1 pool player
b. 8 regular players can add 2 pool players
c. 7 regular players can add 2 pool players
d. 6 or fewer regular players no pool players can be added
3. Pool players come from other teams within your same division.
4. Pool players should be the average or below average players. They must not be AAU players. Managers must agree prior to the start of the game that the pool player indeed is fair. Should managers disagree then the team that cannot field enough shall forfeit. A scrimmage game may then be played.
5. Pool players CANNOT – pitch, play catcher or any infield position.
6. Pool players may only play outfield.
7. Pool players must bat at the bottom of the batting order (last and if two are used then second from the last as well). This assumes batting entire lineup rule is in effect.
8. When using item 2a pool player CANNOT START, also pool player can only play a maximum of 6 defensive outs unless a regular player becomes injured and pool player now becomes one of only nine left to play.
9. When using item 2b only one pool player may be in the game on defense at the same time.

derivative of rule that will be used by District 25 for tournament of champion
(TOC).
