NEW JERSEY ICEDOGS ANNOUNCE 2008-2009 BANTAM TEAMS
We are pleased to announce our Bantam House/Select Travel and Bantam Independent Travel Teams. We must receive a completed application along with the $500.00 deposit by no later than Friday May 23rd. Players will only be confirmed when their application and deposit has been received. Applications and office address are available on this web page.
We would like to thank all those players who attended our recent player review. Further information regarding the season will be forwarded to you during the summer. We expect to hold our first practices in Late August/early September.

Parents and Players: For the upcoming fall 2008-09 season, each player will be responsible for registering with USA Hockey. This will not have to be done until August. The USA hockey season is from September 1 to August 31. of any year.This link will take you to the registration site.

The Pee Wee Travel Team won the 2008 Ice House New Year's Classic Tournament.
Congratulations boys!!!
The Pee Wee Travel team participated in the Ice House New Year's Classic December 28 - 30, 2007. This was a Pee Wee B tournament attended by the Avalanche Blue and Gold teams as well as the Ramapo Saints and Kinnelon. The Dogs had an easy time with their opponents in the early rounds. Friday night the Dogs kicked off their participation in the tournament facing Avalanche Gold skating to a 10 - 1 victory. On Saturday morning the Dogs were victorious in their match up with the Ramapo Saints, winning 8 - 0. The Dogs participated in the skills competition on Saturday afternoon and won the speed relay. At that point in the tournament the Dogs were in first place and the families met for a pasta dinner to celebrate and prepare for Sunday's final playoff round and hopefully a bid at the championship game. The Dogs again faced the Avalanche Gold in the final playoff game with a 6 - 0 shutout. In the championship game, Kinnelon proved to be a formidable oppponent. Stephen Sferruzza was amazing between the pipes. Kinnelon scored the only goal of the first period. The Ice Dogs answered back with 3 in the 2nd period scored by Buonano (2) and Cofrancesco. Kinnelon scored one goal in the second period for a narrow 3 - 2 Ice Dogs lead. The 3rd period proved to be anything but predictable. The Ice Dogs scored first for a more comfortable 4 - 2 lead. But it's not over 'til........well you get the picture. Kinnelon scored with 1:12 to go in the third, leaving the Dogs with a 4 - 3 lead, Unbelievably, Kinnelon scored AGAIN with 14 seconds left in the third period to tie it up! What tenacity! The game then moved to sudden death overtime. With 6 seconds left in sudden death, Scotty Slinger scored for the victory and tournament CHAMPIONSHIP!
