About Us:
Fun Facts: What's in a name? Nisqually Basin Little League (formerly the Yelm Rainier Little Baseball League in the 70's and early 80's) embarked on a quest to become more competitive regionally and nationally by becoming affiliated with the International Little League program over 20 years ago. For decades locals have used the term Nisqually Valley, of which towns along the Nisqually River corridor belong, but we started attracting players from a broader region. This region of the lower Nisqually River was defined by the USGS as Nisqually Basin. Wanting a unique name to call our own, we adopted the "Nisqually Basin" terminology by naming our new organization Nisqually Basin Little League.
Throughout the years our program has grown and become known to be a quality organization with high standards and an emphasis on child safety. All volunteers from coaches to team moms go through a national background search.
To find out more about our program, please feel free to give any board member a call, or drop us an email!
