Welcome to the North American Blue hockey team website. The team was formed in October 2007 and is comprised of law enforcement personnel from across the United States and Canada. Over the past five years, several of the players on this roster have competed against each other at various public safety tournaments. After coming to know one another through the years, friendships were formed by our shared profession, our love of the game, and our desire to play tournament hockey. This past October, the team traveled to Pittsburgh to play in the Trooper Pokorny Benefit Hockey Tournament. With the idea of this team still a new concept, the team played in the tournament using Atlanta PD/FD’s jerseys. Though the jerseys were good luck and the team did go on to capture the “B” Division Championship, we were still in search of our own identity. After a successful first trip, all of the players embraced the idea of playing in several more public safety tournaments together and expressed the desire to continue with this team. And under the direction of Kevin Dakin (Atlanta PD/FD) and Brian Sjostedt (North Carolina LE) the North American Blue team was formed.
