STEELERS IN METRO BOWL TOURNAMENT
THE STEELERS ENTERED THE METRO BOWL POST-SEASON TOURNAMENT. AFTER AN OPENING ROUND WIN, AND A SECOND ROUND FORFEIT WIN, WE HAD A TOUGH A 7-6 LOSS TO THE L.I. RAVENS. THE FOLLOWING WEEK, THE STEELERS BEAT THE L.I. PANTHERS 6-O IN A SNOW STORM. THE STEELERS DEFEATED THE BROOKLYN JAZZ 21-0 TO WIN THE NEW YORK METRO BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP. THAT BRINGS THE STEELERS SEASON TO A CLOSE WITH A SUCCESSFUL RUN. WE ARE NOW RECRUITING FOR 2008. TRAINING CAMP IN FULL TILT
Steelers training camp opened on Saturday, April 5 as planned. The turnout of of new, young, aggressive, talented players has been impressive and there's competetition everywhere, especially at running back. Full pads will go on in two weeks. Practice is Saturday at 11:00 AM and Sunday at 1:00 PM. Training camp and practice are mandatory at beginnging then. The remaining missing veterans need to be in to camp now to compete for spots and make the newbies work. Player registration fee of $35.00 is due when you report. The talent is here to make this the year. We still have opening for more players and for additional coaches.
