| Searcy Baseball will be hosting their annual Land O'Frost tournament on July 7th-9th. There will be three divisions: 8u (machine pitch), 10u and 12u. We would love to have some of your all-star teams come if they are not involved with district or state tournaments this weekend. |

The Arkansas Activities Association Executive Committee recently voted to recommend to the high school administrators to start baseball/softball seasons in mid-March and play the finals in mid-June. This in effect would kill any travel ball or legion baseball season your child participates in. It would also prevent your sons playing baseball & spring football at the same time, not to mention all the football coaches that also coach baseball or softball. It would also greatly reduce any college softball or baseball coaches seeing your child play since they are playing at the same time. Each high school has a "voting member" (usually your Superintendent) for the AAA. We ask that you call your voting member and relay these concerns and ask them to vote NO to Proposal #15. Also, call the AAA office at 501-955-2500 and relay the same concerns, or email Don Brodell at don@ahsaa.k12.ar.us
The schools will vote on this at their state meeting Aug. 3, 2004. If it passes, it will go into effect immediately. Please call your voting member today before it's too late. |
