Bearcats 7th at State
The Bearcats opened the state tournament with a win against Central Kitsap, shutting them out 2-0 and a no hitter by Jordan Birch.
In the second game against Shadle Park, the Cats dropped to the loosers bracket with a 7-1 loss. The one run came on a solo home run by
Briar Stanley. In the final game of the day the Bearcats moved on to Saturday with a 1-0 win over Mountainview. On Saturday the Cats bid
for tournament hardware ended with a 6-4 loss to Wilson. The 7th place finish was the best performance in the last three trips to the tournament,

Cats battle back and earn 3rd spot to state
After loosing their second game at the district tournament, the Bearcats battled back to defeat Cascade and Mountlake Terrace
and earn the 3rd spot to State and their 3rd consecutive trip to the tournament. Briar Stanley and Tessa Degel had the RBI's in both
games respectively while Jordan Birch shut down the apponents with a total of 58 K's for the tournament. The Cats will open the state tournament against
Central Kitsap at 9:00, Friday May 23rd.
Bearcats 1-0 over Snohomish on Senior Day
On the seniors last home game as a Bearcat, the team gave the crowd another story book ending. In a 0-0 tie going into the bottom
of the 7th, Emily Guluarte reached 1st on a walk and Tessa Degel sacrificed her to second. In an attempt to intentionally walk Briar Stanley,
a pitch was left a little to close to the plate allowing Briar to rip a single to center scoring the game winning run. The Bearcats finished
the regular season 16-2, Wesco North champions and enter the district tournament as the number one seed from the North.
Bearcats 11-1 over Oak Harbor
In the top of the second, with bases loaded, Briar Stanley hit her first HS career grand slam home run. The Cats scored three more
in the inning, one in the third and three in the seventh. Jordan Birch had 18 strike outs and batted 3 for 3. The Bearcats play their
final game today at home against Snohomish on senior day.
Bearcats 6-2 over Arlington
After a disapointing loss to Marysville, the Bearcats bounced back against Arlington scoring 5 of it's 6 runs in the first inning.
Emily Guluarte was 1-3 with a 2RBI double, Haley McCutchan was 3-3 with a 2RBI double and Jordan Birch led off the first with a triple
and had 14 K's. The Cats improve to 12-2 (14-2) and travel to Oak Harbor on Tuesday.
