Minutemen Reloading
The Missouri Minutemen will hold a open tryout for new players wanting to join the indoor football team. All new players who want to play football during the 2007 is strongly encouraged to attend. All participants must 18 years of age or older. Also, all participants must sign a liability wavier and register.
Missouri Minutemen open tryout will take place Saturday, Jan. 13,2007, 10 a.m.- 8 p.m., registration for this event will start at 7:30 p.m. Tryouts will take place at the New Star Indoor Facility located inside the Lake Land Community Church; 913 Colburn Road, Lee Summit, Mo.
FEE: $65 in advance we can take Visa, Discover, and American Express . $75 Fee will be paid at the time you register at the workout. (Cash or Money Orders only)
The field surface is Grass-Turf Surface-Please bring appropriate footwear (sneakers or tennis shoes). Removable cleat football shoes and track spikes will not be permitted. No football equipment needed.
All players will be evaluated on the following: 40 yard dash, vertical jump, 20 yard dash,
standing broad jump, 20 yard pro shuttle, bench press, and one-on-one positional drills.
The Missouri Minutemen will remain a member of the American Professional Football League (APFL) for the 2007 season, along with a few other teams around the Mid-West. For more information on the American Professional Football League visit: www.apflfootball.com

Minutemen 2007 Internship
As a member of the American Professional Indoor Football League, the Missouri Minutemen are focused on providing excellent internship opportunities to students studying sports management, recreation administration, leisure services, marketing, communication, and other sport/business related studies; to gain experience that will increase their value as they enter the competitive job market.

GENREAL INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION
The following information is a general description of the requirements, duties, and grading for the 2007 Missouri Minutemen Internship Program. Specific criteria will be discussed during the interview process.
Requirements:
· Background in sports programs and events helpful.
· Have a working knowledge of common office computer software.
· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Good work ethic and a positive attitude.
· Self- motivated and willing to work weekends.
Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in one or more of the following responsibilities, based upon each interns work experience, course requirements, and individual interest level.
1. Assist in the day-to-day operations and administration of the Missouri Minutemen
2. Assist in the planning and implementation of special events, promotions, practices, game-day, etc.
3. Coordinate mailings to teams, season ticket holders, sponsors, communities, etc, as needed.
4. Assist in the development and implementation of the Associate Owner Program and 2007 Sales/Marketing through the creation of sales materials, identifying potential sponsors/season ticket holders, researching companies, and drafting proposals.
5. Assist the Minutemen staff, as necessary, in the management and implementation of Missouri Minutemen special events, meetings, etc.
6. Create, send, and follow-up on Press Releases.
7. Coordinate travel/practice/meal itineraries with visiting teams.
8. Create material for website and perform daily updates on team website.
9. Game day preparation and implementation of promotions, special events, etc.
Interns will be graded on the following:
1. Interns will be required to keep a weekly log of hours worked. If required for course credit, the intern must summarize his/her activities each week as well.
2. Dress attire, work ethic, promptness and lateness.
3. Quality and quantity of work completed

Want to play for the Minutemen?
Anyone wishes to play for the Minutemen and did not get a chance to make it to tryouts and would like to have a oppertunity to make the team fill out a player application and call to schedule a private workout. Private workouts will bw held at New Star Sports Facility at 913 Colbern Rd in Lee's Summit, MOinside the Lakeland Community Church.
The Missouri Minutemen will play six regular season home games, and six away games versus teams from various regional teams. All APFL teams will play a 12-game season in 2008 with the possibility of post-season playoff games. The 2008 APFL season kicks off in early April and runs through late July.
The fee to register is now $100.00 the day of the private workout. Fees are to be paid in CASH ONLY. No exceptions.
The standard tryout includes testing in the 40-yard dash, shuttle drill, 4 corner drill, vertical and long jump and more. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you flexibility. The tryout surface is artificial turf so wear appropriate shoes that will give you the best opportunity to show your abilities.

Corporate Sponsorship Sales Staff
Salary-Commission Based on Sales
The Missouri Minutemen is currently seeking several individuals to join their sales staff. Sales staff will present our corporate sponsorship packages to businesses in the surrounding area.
Candidates must have strong communication skills, attention to details, good people skills, organizational skills, and an energetic personality. Sales staff members will report to the Sales Director and Team Owner.

Internships
Athletic Trainer Interns- Will assist the Head Trainer with player care, taping players, and other trainer duties assigned by the Head Trainer. Interns will need to be available for team practices and games during the season.
Director of Player Contact/Profiles- This internship is for journalism students. Duties will include interviewing players, coaches, and staff also writing player profiles and other team information to be included in media guides, programs, and the team website.
Assistant Coaches- The Missouri Minutemen is currently looking for assistant coaches for the 2007 APFL Indoor Football season. We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to make a championship run in 2007.
Assistant Coaches must be available for practices, meetings, and games. Dedication is a must and must be willing to teach players the game of indoor football Football coaching experience (at any level) is required but will consider individuals looking to get into coaching as a career as well.
