I am writing on behalf of the Milton Monsters Youth Wrestling Club who took 11 grapplers to the 2005 Wisconsin Youth State Wrestling Tournament and came away with 4 third place finishes. Each place winner's only loss was to the eventual State Champion. This was arguably the best showing by the Milton Youth Program in its long history.
Our major sponsors contribute $250.00 each and their names go on the Milton Monster T-shirts. Each of our 130+ wrestlers receives a T-shirt with our sponsors' names on it. The Milton Monster is a popular logo and many of our parents also purchase T-shirts, along with sisters, grandparents, etc.
This year a large portion of our fund raising efforts was used for a very much needed re-surfacing of the school's wrestling mats. Funds were also used to run our summer wrestling camp and for tournament singlets. With continued community support we hope to make many more improvements to our wrestling program.
Our major sponsors are recognized in all of our advertising in the Milton Courier, on plaques, on any programs and at our tournament which will be attended by approximately 500 kids and their parents. While all of our major sponsor spots are filled for this year we will be looking for more sponsors for our tournament this February.
