Medford Strikers Flash: Welcome

Welcome to the Medford Strikers Flash boys travel soccer team website. This team was formed the summer of 2006 as a part of the Medford Strikers Soccer Club. They currently play as a U14 team in the MAPS Division of the CJYSA League, as well as in highly competitive tournaments and State Cup programs in the Mid-Atlantic states area. They train with Universal Soccer Academy under the direction of James Galanis and the Universal staff.

MAPS Fall Challenge - 2009 Champions
At the MAPS Fall Challenge Tournament held on November 16th at Ft Dix, the Medford Strikers Flash captured 1st place in the boys premier division of the U14 age group.  The Flash went 4-1-0, capturing 1st place with an exciting PK shootout win over the Montogmery SC Maniacs (PA).  The path to the finals started slow with a 1-0 loss to AFC Pride (CT), but quickly heated up with 1-0 wins over CASA CAPA '94 (PA) and Freehold SC Legacy (NJ), which led to the semi-finals where the Flash prevailed again in PKs after a scoreless game.

Congratulations to the Flash on a successful U13 year.  They finished with an overall record of 24-13-10 in their second year including Tournament Championships at the Endless Summer, Hempfield PA Fall Classic, West Deptford Thanksgiving, MSSL Spring Challenge, and the Sunburst West Windsor Tournaments.

A mother was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her teenage son. Suddenly the boy bursts into the kitchen.
"Careful! Careful! Put in some more butter! Oh mygoodness! You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They're going to STICK! Careful!... CAREFUL! I said CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you crazy? Have you lost your mind? Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!"
The mother stared at him. "What's wrong with you? You think I don't now how to fry a couple of eggs?"
The son calmly replied, "I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm trying to play soccer."

Congratulations to the team on a successful U12 year, they finished 14-14-10 in their inaugural year including finalist finishes in the Hempfield PA Fall Classic in November, the Washington Township, NJ Easter Classic, and the MSSL Explosion Memorial Day Tournament at Ft Dix, NJ.
