Saturday, November 1 MECHANICSBURG WILDCATS MIDGET FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION ATTENTION---PLEASE READ---NEW INFORMATION REGARDING 2008 AWARDS CEREMONY, POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL GAME, AND EQUIPMENT RETURN!! 2008 Awards Ceremony for theMechanicsburg Midget Football Assoc The DATE and Venue have changed -- Please read carefully· When: November 15th 7:00 pmPLEASE NOTE THE DATE HAS CHANGED due to our high school football team making playoffs!!! · Where: Mechanicsburg Middle School-- PLEASE enter through main doors. · 7:00-9:00 pm Awards Ceremony in the auditorium.· Parents are expected to attend with their child. · Each family is responsible for their own child/children.· Children and parents are asked to remain quiet during the trophy presentations. Please instruct your child to be courteous and not boo other players or cheerleaders.· We ask that every family be respectful and not move around or leave until the awards ceremony is completed. Every child deserves their moment in the spotlight. · Coaches will have just enough time to recognize each player or cheerleader and present them with their trophy. · We will do our best to keep things moving along.· If your child cannot attend, it is your responsibility to contact your childs coach in order to pick up his/her trophy.· Light refreshments will follow the awards ceremony in the cafeteria.· Please bring the following item to share and place on the table provided in the lobby prior to the ceremony: (Both players and cheerleaders)o Smurfs-Bagged snack such as chips, pretzels, Doritos, cheese curls, etc.o Pee wees-Baked Good-cookies, brownies, etc.o Ponys-2 liter soda or bottle of juiceo Midgets-Fruit or Veggies on a plate or platter o Disposable plates/platters are best; as we cannot guarantee they will be returned! We hope you will join us in celebrating a great 2008 season!
Equipment Return
Equipment return is set for Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, November 3-5 between the hours of 6-7:30pm. Equipment to be returned includes helmet, chin straps, shoulder pads, girdle, girdle pads, maroon&white game jerseys, game&practice pants, thigh&knee pads, red&grey belts. Please have all clothing items issued clean before returning.
A parent MUST be present to sign off on the return. If you do not make other arrangments, you MUST return all of your equipment on one of these dates. At that time, your $20 deposit will be refunded. If you do not return on one of these set dates, you will forfeit your $20 deposit.
Equipment is to be returned at the shed at the practice field behind the Mechanicsburg Club. Any questions, please contact Bill Drawbaugh at 766-2835 or Russ Hoover at 796-9560.
A trust fund for Evan and Emily Lechthaler has been set up by their God-Parents. Contributions can be sent to Members First Credit Union. More information to follow in the coming days. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this wonderful and generous family. Respectfully yours,
