Summer Season Update - July 18, 2008
Lightning off to a great start!
Wow, 5 games into the summer season and the boys are still undefeated!!! Not an easy task given that our division is very balanced with many games being decided by a single goal. Our defenders have been superb and the goaltending has been solid and consistent. And the offence has showed good depth with 8 different scorers.
Well done Lightning and keep up the teamwork!
Don’t like the way we play? Wait ‘till you hear our music…

Goodbye diet...
....Hello pizza, chips and pop.
The round winners were Francis and Zoran although their wait-and-see tactics were questioned by a few (who prefer to remain nameless....).
Lightning finishes regular season on a winning note!
Markham played a solid game and secured a 2-0 win over North Star 95 in their last game of the winter rep season. The Lightning then lost its playoff round to the Richmond Hill Premier team. This was a great season for Markham and the 3rd position finish was a marked improvement over last year’s record.
Congratulations to all!
Markham starts 2008 with a WIN!!!
The boys did not lose any time to collect their first win of the new year. Teamwork paid off as the Lightning beat the UMSC95B team by a score of 3-1 on Saturday January 5th at Richmond Green.
Happy New Year to All
and special thanks to Zoran, David, Francis, Gareth and Bryan for their hard work and guidance (and patience..) in 2007 J
Lightning ends the year on a high note!
Markham closes 2007 with successive wins against Bradford and Richmond Hill ii.
The team edged up Bradford 3-0 on December 15th and then went on to defeat the Raiders on December 22nd again by a score of 3-0 and this despite a much reduced starting line-up. Great team effort!
