Thanksgiving 3-v-3 Tournament
WE HAD 3 TEAMS PLAYING IN THE THANKSGIVING 3-v-3 TOURNAMENT. ALL THREE DID VERY WELL WINNING 2 GAMES AND ONLY LOSING 1. THE SHEPPARDS: SAMMY BATCHELDER, ABBIE SCHLITT, KENNEDI THOMAS AND MEGAN CARNEY TOOK SECOND PLACE IN THEIR DIVISION, MISSING THE FINALS BY ONLY TWO GOALS. THE WOLVES: ALLISON PENSA, SAMANTHA MEDICI, SHELBE HRUSKA AND NICOLE KRIER TOOK SECOND PLACE IN THIER DIVISION. THE HUSKIES: GABBIE TROY, ERICA ROLL, ARIANNA ILINECH AND MELANIE HEATH WON THEIR DIVISION AND CAME IN SECOND FOR THE WHOLE TOURNAMENT.

LOBOS '96 RED GIRLS WIN DIVISION
The LOBOS '96 Red girls soccer team secured first place in MYSL's U-11 Girls, Major Gold division with a 1-0 win against the Royal Oak Renegades on Sunday. With time running out, Gabby Troy placed a free kick in the penalty area, Gabby Kalugar blocked the clearing ball and Melissa Darin pounded the ball into the back of the net with a minute left in play. The girls fought hard, controling the second half of the game. The goalkeepers, Sammy Batchelder & Melanie Heath recorded their eigth shut-out of the season. Final record is 7-0-2, with 24 goals scored and only 1 goal allowed. CONGRATULATIONS FOR A GREAT SEASON.

LOBOS '96 BLACK GIRLS WIN DIVISION
The LOBOS '96 Black team won the MYSL U-11 girls White division title Sunday with a 2-1 win over the second place BUFC Springboks. Kristen Confroy score the first goal of the game off a one time shot from a corner kick placed in the middle of the field by Kyle Latshaw. Kristen again found the back of the net prior to the end of the first hald. The Springboks fought back in the second half and put a long ball into the upper corner of the LOBOS net. The LOBOS fought hard and finished with the 2-1 win, securing the division title. The LOBOS Black finished the season with an undefeated 9-0-1 record and only allowed 4 goals all season while scoring 42 goals. CONGRATULATIONS LOBOS '96 BLACK, JOB WELL DONE.

LOBOS Red and Black Win Big
The LOBOS Black took the field against Waterford on Saturday and came away with a 6-0 win, pushing their record to 3-0-1. The LOBOS Red defended their home turf in a down pour against the LAYSA Lions with a 7-0 win. The Red teams record stands at 4-0-0. Players of the game were Ellen Radcliff for the Black team and Carlie Deyton for the Red team.

Sunday, September 10
LOBOS Black Win First Game 5-0
The U-11 LOBOS Black won their first league game against the BYSA Storm 5-0. The goals were scored by Breanna Travis, Grace VanLear, Kristen Confroy, Kylie Latshaw and Rachel Morgenstern. Assist were provided by Breanna Travis and Kennedi Thomas on a beautiful cross and one time shot into the goal. Shelby Wojno and Kristen Confroy combined in net for the shut out. Molly Emerick, Erica Roll, Ellen Radcliff and Lauren played strong defense, shutting down every attack. Abbie Schlitt lead the charge on offense while Megan Carney and Nicloe Krier played tough in the midfield. Molly Emerick was player of the match.

Saturday, September 9
LOBOS Red Win First Game 8-0
The LOBOS Red U-11 girls soccer team won their first game against the NMSC Storm 8 to 0. Goals were scored by Gabbie Kalugar, Samantha Medici, Allison Pensa, Carlie Deyton and Ariana Ilenich. Assist where provided by Carlie Deyton, Arianna Ilenich, Gabbie Troy, Gabbie Kalugar, Samantha Medici, Alex Wallin and Allison Pensa. Melanie Heath/Gabbie Kalugar/Gabbie Troy combined for the shut out in goal. Melisa Darin played strong in the midfield with Samantha Batchelder, while Shelby Hruska lead the forwards. Mackenzie Pohlman was a rock on defense, as always. The Player of the game was Alex Wallin.

Monday, September 4
LEAGUE GAMES BEGIN!
Games begin the weekend of 9/9 and 9/10 for both the Red and Black LOBOS. Please remember that our team needs to leave the fields in the same condition they were when we arrived. Pick up all the garbage on the sidelines prior to leaving.


The Red teams first game is September 9th at 2pm against the North MaComb Storm at Civic Center Park field #3, the girls are to be there 30 minutes prior to the start of the game.

The Black teams first game is September 10th at 4pm against BYSA Storm at Civic Center Park field #5, the girls are to be there 30 minutes prior to the start of the game.

Tournament Results
Congratulations to all the girls for your great play at the tournament. Both teams played very well. Special thanks to:

1. Lisa and Darrin for all the work on the concession stand, we made $260 profit.
2. Thanks to Hole-in-one for the donations,we will need to get a total team picture for a thank you letter to them.
3. Thank you to Alex Troy for helping us out, you were terrific!
4. Thanks to all the parents who stood out in the rain.

I believe it was a tremendous success, and everyone enjoyed the day, dispite the weather.

Ryan Schlee 3-v-3
The results for the Ryan Schlee 3-v-3 are below. Both teams did an excellent job as the majority of the teams played were the Michigan Hawks, VADAR, GSSC Stars. All the top teams in the area and our girls played great.

Red Team:
2 Wins 2 Losses 0 Ties

Black Team:
1 Win 2 Losses 1Tie

Also, Darrin Thomas won $140 in the 50/50 raffle and John Morgenstern cleaned out the gifts on the raffle prize table, topped off by a group of soccer cookies and a musical Dalmatian.
