There are no set up fees, no bank charges, no merchant accounts and no monthly fees to set up online registration for your league. The only fee ever charged is a small processing fee for each registration. This processing fee is based on a sliding scale and can be structured several ways to meet your league's needs.
 $3.00 minimum processing fee | - Build in the fees. The recommended method is to simply build the processing fee into your league's base fee to register so all the participants pay the same amount regardless of whether they register online or by paper. Active will automatically deduct our convenience fees from our payments to your league. If you modify your registration fee to "build-in" our processing fee, most leagues find that their online registration numbers normally increase. Example: Registration fee is $50, parent pays $50, Active sends league $45.75.
- Pass on the Fees. An alternate method is to position the processing fee as an additional charge to your registration fee. This way, the person registering sees a charge for your regular registration fee as well as our processing fee. Your league still receives the full amount of your registration fee without any deductions. Passing the fees on means that the League pays nothing. Example: Registration fee is $50, parent pays $54.25, Active sends league $50.
- Split the Fees. The league builds in 3.25% plus $.50 and passes on a 3.25% plus $.50 convenience fee. This is a great option for leagues that can't absorb the full processing fee, but don't want to pass the entire fee on either. Example: Registration is $50, parent pays $52.13, Active sends league $47.88.

Promotion Kit & Tips for a Successful Registration Campaign
Registration Poster

The poster is designed to be customized with information pertinent to the local league. After placing the appropriate information on the poster, take it to a local copy center or to a volunteer with a quality copier, and make as many copies as needed. They can be distributed to local schools, placed in league sponsors’ windows, posted at the field or placed in other high traffic areas. These may be used as individual fliers for distribution as well.
Registration Flyer

Create a flyer to pass out to players, parents or anyone that may be interested in registering for your league. After placing the appropriate information on the flyer, take it to a local copy center or to a volunteer with a quality copier, and make as many copies as needed.
Ad Slicks

This resource can be used if the league desires to place and ad in the local newspaper. The sheet has two different size ads that will be able to meet any budget. Just like the registration poster, the ad slicks have the ability to be customized with your league's information. Be sure to check with your local newspaper about downloading the slick. Many newspapers have this ability and will place your league information in the ad for you. Consider placing multiple ads. This will help get the word out about your registration and newspapers usually give price breaks for multiple insertions.
Promotional Media Release

This promotional media release can be used to generally inform everyone that your league is gearing up for another season. Simply fill in the pertinent information for your league in the space provided. You may elect to retype the release with your league information in it to make a clean copy. Once a clean copy of the release is ready, send to television stations, newspapers and radio stations in your area. This piece may be used at any time prior to the season opener.
Registration Media Release

The Registration Media release can be customized with your local league information. Be sure to utilize multiple dates to give ample opportunities for registration. Simply fill in the pertinent information for your league in the space provided. You may elect to retype the release with your league information in it to make a clean copy. This piece should be sent to local media companies approximately 30 days prior to your league's first registration.
Additional Tips for a Successful Registration
- Call last year's player members - When calling, ask them to spread the word about registrations to their friends. Your league may elect to have a membership drive contest with rewards to the highest player members referring new player members.
- Place information at libraries, on public bulletin boards, and as public service announcements on local radio stations and cable channels. This type of publicity is usually free and is quite effective.
- Ask local radio stations if they have a talk show where league representatives can appear. Usually, small radio stations have local community news shows that attract many listeners. This would be a great opportunity to recruit both players and volunteers.
