LBGC Girls Capture 2008 DEL VAL Softball Championship

Lansdowne Lightning U14 Girls Softball Team completed a fine 2008 season competing against local DEL VAL teams and against Babe Ruth competetion.  The Lightning finished with a record of 25 wins, 10 losses and 1 tie. 

The Lightning capped off the season by beating Chichester for the DelVal Youth Softball Intermediate B North Championship.

Lansdowne ended the regular season 10-3-1 and went 4-1 in playoffs beating Llanerch Hills, Folcroft and  Chichester.  The Lightning also played against Babe Ruth competition and was the runner-up in the Upper Merion Tournament in late June.  In early July, Lansdowne represented our district in the Babe Ruth 2008 State Championship Tournament in Levittown where the Lightning posted a respectable 2-2 record.

This year's team consisted of Brianna McGrory, Amanda Jacobi, Katie Hild, Rebecca Grande, Jamie Lachall, Molly McDougall, Carly Mirarchi, Kat Repetto, Tara Tomasco, Katie Harkins, Charlotte McDougall, Caitlin Kerrigan, and Sam Mancuso. The team was coached by George Gilligan, Mike McDougall, Fred Mirarchi and Mike Kitsenger
