The Lansdowne Boys and Girls Club offers programs in soccer, baseball, softball, basketball and girl's lacrosse to the children of Lansdowne and the surrounding communities. We also have adult programs in softball and basketball. The Lansdowne Boys' and Girls' Club Leagues
Thursday, December 4 The deadline is rapidly approach to turn in your raffle tickets. We are extending the date of the raffle one week. You must turn your tickets in no later than Saturday, December 13th. Someone will be at the Ardmore Ave gym from 10-12 noon to collect your tickets. The drawing will be on Saturday December 20th. There is a nice prize waiting for the person who wins, so don't forget to turn in your tickets. Thursday, December 4 Here's December's basketball schedule. There are several dates where scrimmages are scheduled. There will ... Thursday, December 4 Anyone who earned a trophy and was not able to pick it up at the LBGC Banquet last month may go to the LBGC clubhouse on Friday, December 19th from 6-7:30 and pick up thier trophy. Saturday, November 1 Clubhouse Renovations are now complete Thanks to PA State Grants sponsored by State Representative Micozzie and Senator Williams, the LBGC's clubhouse has been renovated. We now have a new roof, bathroom, kitchen and meeting room together with necessary upgrades to the electrical and plumbing systems. The LBGC would like to recognize and thank the many volunteers that worked very hard to complete the renovations. The clubhouse can now be used for team parties and meetings. The clubhouse will also be available for rent for birthday parties and other activities. Procedures for using the new and improved clubhouse will be posted shortly on the web site. Lansdowne Lightning U14 Girls Softball Team completed a fine 2008 season competing against local DEL VAL teams and against Babe Ruth competetion. The Lightning finished with a record of 25 wins, 10 losses and 1 tie. The Lightning capped off the season by beating Chichester for the DelVal Youth Softball Intermediate B North Championship. Lansdowne ended the regular season 10-3-1 and went 4-1 in playoffs beating Llanerch Hills, Folcroft and Chichester. The Lightning also played against Babe Ruth competition and was the runner-up in the Upper Merion Tournament in late June. In early July, Lansdowne represented our district in the Babe Ruth 2008 State Championship Tournament in Levittown where the Lightning posted a respectable 2-2 record. This year's team consisted of Brianna McGrory, Amanda Jacobi, Katie Hild, Rebecca Grande, Jamie Lachall, Molly McDougall, Carly Mirarchi, Kat Repetto, Tara Tomasco, Katie Harkins, Charlotte McDougall, Caitlin Kerrigan, and Sam Mancuso. The team was coached by George Gilligan, Mike McDougall, Fred Mirarchi and Mike Kitsenger GREAT JOB GIRLS !!
