WELCOME to our web site. Let me tell you a little about us.
The Lake Nepessing Bass Club was started on a cold day in February at George's Bait & Tackle located below the Lake Inn on Lake Nepessing. Co-founders Larry Gargus and George Crnkovich called for the first meeting on March 7th. 1976. Forty members signed up that day, over thirty years later, five are still members. From 1976 through 2006 144 fisherman have been members of our club. The L.N.B.C. has won three national awards from B.A.S.S., won awards from the Michigan B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation, earned several awards from local groups and organizations, and last but not least, over thirty awards from the area Boy Scout's. We would like to thank all the members who worked so hard to help us earn those awards.
We are always looking for new members, if you are interested click on the "Contact Us" to the left.
Our Purpose To stimulate public awareness of bass fishing as a major sport. To offer our state conservation department our organized moral and political support and encouragement. To promote full adherence to all conservation laws and to demand enforcement of existing laws. To detect and report any polluter and call public and political attention to this crime. To improve our skills as bass anglers through a fellowship of friendly exchange of bass catching techniques and ideas, and a love of this great sport. To promote and encourage youth fishing and other youth programs. To function as a dynamic and effective link with other clubs embracing the principles and purpose of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society.
To become a club member you must: * Be 16 years of age. * You must be a member of Bass Anglers Sportsman Society. * A new regular member must be voted on and accepted by a majority of the board of directors, then serve a one year probation and be voted on by the whole club to be accepted as a regular member.
