Tick's At Magnusson Field Complex

To all Parent's, Fans, Coaches and Players it has come to our attention that since Memorial Day Tick's have been found on several children at the Magnusson Field Complex during and after games and the school nurse has reported cases at Bakie.
Although we are looking into the possibility of treating the field we are currently recommending that everyone apply an insect repellent with DEET when you plan on being at the complex for an extended period of time. We also suggest not letting children play in the wooded areas of the complex or letting them chase foul balls into the woods. It is also a good practice to check children and their clothes for ticks after being at the fields. Thank you for your Co-Operation.

Recycling at Magnusson Fields
Blue = Green at Mag Fields
In the upcoming week you will be seeing the big blue barrels placed next to the garbage cans with lids. We will be using these barrels to collect plastic bottles with screw top type lids and aluminum cans only. The smaller cans with lids and bags will be for all other trash only. You will notice a green bin next to the snack shack as well. This bin is for this recycling program please do not use it or the big blue barrels for trash. When at the field remind the children in your family about the barrels, because as much as we love them, children sometimes can't read signs and often do not pay attention when doing simple things like throwing out the trash.

Mandatory Cal Ripken Coaching Certification
Frequently Asked Questions about Cal Ripken Coachining certification. Every coach will be required to take an online course. After completing the course the coach will print out his/her certification and a "wallet card".
KYBS will be purchasing the courses and informing the coaches with information to log in.
